Lovely hotel in Amsterdam
Hotel was in a good area close to the museums and a tram ride to the centre of Amsterdam and Central station. Only problem we had was the air conditioning was too warm in our room but staff quickly addressed this. Would definitely stay here again. Just be aware that there are no elevators as this hotel is in a heritage listed building.

Love the bath!
Great hotel, amazing bath and a big room in a great location. Away from the hype of the city but near nice restaurants and close enough to walk to most tourist attractions.

Not a warm weather hotel....
If I knew ahead of time that there is no air-conditioning I wouldn't have picked the hotel. There was a dehumidifier in the room that kept making noise I had to attempt calling the front desk several times but no one would answer so I had to go down to ask them to check it out and they said nothing can be done. The bathroom was very clean and spacious but the room floor was stained. There are no elevators wasn't a problem for me but for others might be. I would not stay again in the hotel during this time of the year.

Authentic Amsterdam Experience
I absolutely loved this hotel. If you're looking for boutique-style hotel with an authentic Amsterdam feel, this is it. It's a smaller operation, but the staff is so friendly and works to be as amenable as possible. Robbin, the hotel manager checked me in. I arrived early in the morning because of a red-eye flight. Even though I was early, they cleaned a room for me quickly, gave me complementary breakfast, and I was in my room within an hour. My room was smaller - most European hotel rooms are - but it was lovely and had port window views of the canal. My room was on the ground floor. Many of the rooms are up steep Dutch stairs. If stairs are an issue for you, you can request a ground floor room. You still have to take stairs to get down to the breakfast/bar/lounge area, though. If you're not prepared for this, then you shouldn't stay here. The breakfast bar area and lounge is lovely. The breakfast bar is included in your rate, but you can ALSO order something off the menu, too, that is also included in the rate. They serve wine in the late afternoons/evenings. The view is spectacular. The only downside is that you can't take food or drink onto the patio because of strict regulations. This hotel really made my stay in Amsterdam unique and gave me a true "Amsterdam experience." The staff, although young, was so helpful and friendly, and everyone speaks English so that made my life easier!

What a great introduction to Amsterdam.
There for 4 days. Weather was amazing. Much hotter for all the days and staff went out of their way to find solutions for the heat in the room. They'd upgraded us and then shifted us to another room due to the heat. Great staff and lovely building.
