Exceptional10.0
Great facilities and location
I visit Bangkok frequently and always stay here. Easy access to the airport and BTS line for a short trip to all the major shopping centers. The staff are friendly and rooms conmfortable. The gym is excellent and pool facility’s are well staffed. Soi 55 is filled with restaurants and clubs. The roof top bar is a popular place for tourists to visit on level 48 (free). I will be staying here again.

great but lack personal touches
as expected but some personal touches will be great. It was our wedding night but nothing (or even card) was offered. We noted that when we booked the hotel.

Not Happy Bangkok Marriott Hotel
After a long flight we arrived in Bangkok & to our Hotel at approximately 6.25pm. We were travelling with a relative & did say when first booking we wanted to be near each other & on the same floor. Our room had not been cleaned & we had to move our luggage into our relatives room. We were meeting other relatives for dinner, had to move into our room at 1.20am in morning. We could not take a shower or even freshen up before going out. Also I asked for a non smoking room as I suffer asthma, the minute I walked into the room I could smell cigarette smoke. Could not be bothered to complain as thank goodness we were only stating 3 Nights. Also to add insult to injury our room was not cleaned or bed made towels etc on the second day. Had to call & ask for our room to be cleaned just not good enough.

Great hotel shame about smelly room
The hotel was great but the room smelt really bad. Poor ventilation - could barely breathe in the rooms.

Busy hotel in busy area - not for me maybe for you
This hotel is relatively close to the airport - if you can handle the grinding traffic on sukhumvit rd, - which can't be avoided because it is not near a freeway. It is close to train stations - but you are away from the city centre and river and such an area holds little appeal. The roof top bar is excellent on par with the Banyan tree but not the Lebua for views. The hotel itself is busy and relatively small everywhere. If you are after serenity in BKK this is not it - good luck getting a table in the lounge if you arrive late. It is a 4.5 star hotel - get the business done and get out
