Very good 8.0 From 64 reviews

Poor 2.0
Friendly staff, great location but very noisy, dirty bathrooms and kitchens. Booked Trek Global because they have very good reviews (and very limited choices over Easter break). We thought we had private bathroom but didn’t. We concerned about the noise once we got into our room, spoke to staff and they assured us that no noise policy after 11 pm. That’s not true! Stayed for 2 nights and got woken up at 1.30 am the first night and 2.30 am at the second - both from hostel gusts at the kitchen area and outside. We could hear every single detail of the backpackers’ embarrassing conversations. No sleep at all!!! The worst part - went to kitchen and asked them to keep noise down, got extremely rude and aggressively response. Bathrooms were smelly and very dirty kitchen. We chose to stay away as much as possible. In all, not a pleasant stay for us at all! But, I think you will have fun if you got woken up at night, happily join in their conversations instead of asking them to shut up at 2am.

Poor 2.0
Major disappointment !!!
Wish I had never booked to stay here, it ruined my whole trip to Wellington ... The only positive point was the most helpful staff ... The room which was en suite ( worse than basic student accommodation ) a box room or ex office room, child's bunk, of which I nearly tipped over on myself after climbing down the ladder, thin mattress, faded old bedding & sheets, lower bathroom door frame warped / chunks taken out of it and clearly in need of replacement ..... shower full of hair, sink was filthy behind the taps, no sink plug, the kettle was missing the button to open the lid, window had to be fully open or shut as was broken, one of the cups in the room was chipped .... Our room was right next to the kitchen, hence all we smelt for the whole stay was food and people constantly talking, shouting & banging about etc The pool table was so close to the window / bike stand / and pillar, you couldn't hold the pool cue properly plus out of the 3 cues, only one had a tip on it ... I was so glad when I checked out !!!

Good 6.0
Place was fairly comfortable, but my room was a twin bunk room behind the kitchen and the laundry and was fairly noisy until pretty late. Also, it had an ensuite but the sink was very tiny. The shower was good, but there was no bath mat. Parking was available but it was $25 a day which some say is a good price for central Wellington. If you don't mind a 20 minute walk, you can buy a coupon to park along Oriental Parade all day for only $8.50.

Exceptional 10.0
Central, clean, friendly, good facilities
Great central location, friendly straff, good wifi, clean and spacious room, nice common areas, some kind of event arranged every day, computers by the reception (Great for looking things up instead of on the phone..). Overall, very good. Definitivt staying here again if there is a bed available on my way back (heads up, make your booking in advance since it's a popular place!) Didn't explore the kitchen or landet facilities, but they looked good..

Very good 8.0
Good base for Wellington
A great, central location. Clean room and public areas. Bit frustrating that's there were only 3 showers and toilets on the floor for a lot of people -the toilet and showers are in the same cubicle some if you need to use either there can be quite a wait. Our double room had an extra single bunk aboveboard that was unnecessary. Kettle on room was great. Good wifi. Good parking. Would stay again.
