perfect place to stay in Seoul
Great small hotel. Very clean, modern decoration, small rooms but more than adequate. Comfortable bedding and lots of hot water for showering. Location fantastic for airport bus ( 3 minute walk from drop off) and subway lines 1 and 3 that will get you anywhere you will want to go within a few stops. Recommend you get a T card from the subway vending machines ( can cash in any balance when you leave) In the area you need to be for attractions and plenty of great places to eat around. All desk staff extremely helpful with any information and friendly greetings. It is located at the start of a safe laneway so provides a quiet night's sleep while still being in the centre of everything. Breakfast consisted of cereals, toast and spreads, noodles, fruit, drinks and snacks - more than adequate. 4 of us stayed here and we were extremely happy with the hotel and all of us would highly recommend it.

Seoul holiday
Recent five night stay. A bit hard to find at first when getting off subway. The area is close to all the street food cart and markets all around. Subway close by, we walked everywhere as it was central. Breakfast included, it's basic but we were happy with that as we don't eat a large cooked breakfast at home. Room size ok, happy there was a jug in the room and hubbie glad there were English speaking channels on the Tv. We were out most of the day sightseeing as you do on holidays so certainly did not need a large expensive room. My only slight negative is that the heating in the hot tap in shower would go to cold frequently while showering, that is annoying in winter.

Worth your money!
I've been going korea yearly since 2013 and every year I've been staying in GS hotel. Why? It's cheap, really clean, and it's a short walking distance from 2 metro station and give u access to 4 different lines. Walk a little further down u find yourself at insadong. Also there's convenient stalls nearby street food stalls... talk about benefit to cost ratio, this would give you the best return for your money! Oh but some of you complain the breakfast sucks? Oh come on! Skip the breakfast! it do suck because come on u expect a continental breakfast for such a price? Let me tell u what walk towards insadong near one of the major road junction u will find Isaac toast u can get yourself an amazing toast for just a couple of thousand won! Point is there are soooooo many nice food in Seoul go grab them don't bother about hotel food!

Very Good8.0
Condition & cleanliness still good as 6 years ago
Stayed at GS hotel 6 yrs ago. Previously they had some free snacks and drinks but now they only provided bottles of mineral water. Previously they also had free breakfast but now u have to pay. This time we booked the executive rooms and grand room which was a lot bigger than the previous time with jacuzzi bath. Not too sure if the jacuzzi bath wasn’t cleaned or use often so the first time there were lots of dirt and dust when operating the jacuzzi. After flushing once, it’s fine though. Furnishing were still in good condition and towels provided and bedsheets were very clean and without stains. The rooms are also very clean. Good job in the housekeeping! It’s 3 mins walk to jongno3-ga station exit 14 and now it has escalators! No need to carry our suitcases up the stairs anymore!!! This time we brought our baby as well and the small stroller could go up the escalator as well. That’s a major plus!!! Do note that there is a barricade at the entrance to the escalator so big stroller definitely can’t go through the escalator. We stayed there for 5 days. Overall it’s worth the price.
