Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nihombashi-Kayabacho, Tokyo
Excellent4.0 / 5
Convenient to stations, quiet area
So close to Kayabacho subway station and easy walk to Nihombashi. Quiet area. Great, helpful staff. I booked a semi double bed for the two of us. Got a great price but didn't think it would be quite so small and quashy (trying to put 2 suitcases on small chairs. I will definitely use this hotel again but maybe with 2 singles or a queen if they are available. Nice breakfast included.

Comfortable stay in good location.
Overall happy with hotel for the price and location, but unimpressed with housekeeping as on various times the bed was unmade, just doona thrown over the top. I liked the idea of providing guests with bottles of water in exchange for not changing towels each day due to environmental awareness. Quite a few restaurants were close by and transport (local subway) was around 1 minute walk down the street and the Tokyo train station was around 20 mins walk. Breakfast was average. Another negative was the hardness of the bed pillows, as they have a hard bead inside, making sleep difficult.

Good hotel, would stay here again
Great hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is a standard sized room for Japan (small) but well appointed. Internet connection was good and he speed was reasonable. vending machines, ice machine, microwave and laundry available. Breakfast was fine, not out of this world but the coffee was nice and the croissant very good. Great whiskey bar across the street, only 5 or 6 seats but worth a visit. We walked to Ginza and the fish market, maybe a couple km but if you enjoy walking it is a pleasant walk. No shopping close by but plant of places to get a feed or a drink. Close to subway station. Go out exit 7 to be near the hotel. Would certainly stay here again

Good location, but very small rooms
Good things about this hotel: - One block away from Kayabacho metro station with connections everywhere, and three blocks from Nihonbashi station with even more connections (which even have a train that goes to the airport with no change). - Neighbourhood is quiet if that is what you would like. - Hotel staff is friendly and rooms are quiet. - Breakfast is not that great, but included in the price and what they give is more than enough. Bad things about the hotel: - Rooms are very small. We have stayed in small rooms in Hotels in Tokyo, but this was smaller. - Hotel is a business hotel, which seems to be focused on late night workers who will stay overnight. For them, I believe the hotel is perfect. If you come from overseas with a large suitcase, then the room are not really design for it, and you are going to struggle to find a place to put your bag(s).
