Holiday Inn Express Phuket Patong Beach Central

Holiday Inn Express is 100 metres from Patong Beach. We had not been to Phuket since the year after the tsunami and oh what a change. Immaculately clean, the beach, the roads, the pubs and restaurants. All and every one is immaculate. Unlike Bali you can drink the water from the tap. Eat on the street - amazing. The hotel has a Coffee Club at the entry - just about every hotel in Phuket has one - the lobby and staff were fantastic. The breakfast was amazing although the western eggs and bacon was a bit slow to come out on occasion. The pool is beautiful and with the beach just down the road often empty so great to get a couch every day. The room was wonderful - we were in 4202 on the second floor of block 4. great little balcony but not on the sunny side. there is always glass bottled water (not plastic) and was cleaned and bed made up every day. They also have a laundry on site @ $1 a wash and $1 for dry - more expensive than the laundry across the road @50c/kilo but then everything is not cheap anymore - beer 80bht = $4 au most meals about $10-$15 with the fish restaurants more like $30-$40au. out to the islands about $120au for the day. Shopping is not like Bali and neither the people. Love Phuket and will be back to Holiday Inn Express - why go anywhere else when this one is great. Thank you to the staff - you were great and always had a smile and a hello and goodbye. Security was also not an issue. We walked the street at all hours and always felt safe.

No Bacon at Breakfast, very disappointing, thought it was a Buddhist country!!!

It is a hotel with the best location potang beach. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Loved easy access to beach. Staff were very attentive and helpful couldn't fault their service. The Coffee Club staff attached to hotel also very lovely and had great coffee. Seven Eleven next door with plenty of restaurants and shops very close by. Pool area a little small but with the beachs so close not really an issue.

Great location for what we wanted for our holiday. Close to beach and handy for shopping.Had plenty of choices where to eat near by.

Close to main tourist area of Patong and Beach.

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel and it's everything I think is important in a Hotel. A fine breakfast is included in the price. The pool is great and there is a number of washers and driers that can be used for set fee as well as cloth irons. It's close to the beach but far enough back for it to be quiet for the guests; The staff cannot do enough for you. What more can I say, it's just great.

Very basic hotel but fine. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We are heading back to Patong unfortunately at the end of our trip and have booked again to stay there. Much cheaper to book through hotels.com than at reception.
