Airolodge International not recommended
Check in was bad No one in the office and room key was in a locked box but we weren’t given the code. Rooms are on level 2 and 3. The elevator has been out of order over a year. The room was very dirty. Dust everywhere. Carpet dirty. Found someone on day 2 around 12:00.They have a sign open 10-3. Didn’t happen. I showed the manager pictures of the room. He said he would have it deep cleaned next day. We were there 3 days. The room still wasn’t clean. We didn’t have tv for the first two days because of no remote. Manager never took care of it. The maintenance guy found one for the last day. They advertised transportation to cruise port online and on outdoor sign. They don’t provide this. It was $40 by taxi. Airport was $35. There was a phone in the room but wasn’t hooked to anything. Light fixture didn’t work above the bed. We had to set up an extension cord to run CPAP and to charge phones. The office gave us information on taking the City Cat boat over to Brisbane and to take busses to the mall. He said it was free. It wasn’t. We had to walk back to a store to purchase tickets plus a deposit which we just lost. The mall was in walking distance. No bus needed A group of people arrived. No one was there to give them their room. The maintenance guy went down the hall looking in each room to find empty ones for them. He even opened our door and we were there This guy was friendly and tried to help. The halls smelled like smoke. If we hadn’t prepaid, we would have left.
