This is our second time staying here. Staff are less friendly this time and looked sad. Hardly any smiles and they did not seem happy when we asked for their complimentary instant noodles. Breakfast spread was also not as good as last time. Rooms are tiny as expected for Tokyo. Quite tricky to open 2 suitcases at once. Probably won’t stay here again.

Enjoyable stay. Love the area. Rooms very small and frosted window so couldn't see out which was a bit claustrophobic. Charged us extra to have twin beds for my 19 and 17 year old where other hotels in Japan we weren't charged. Spa is a bit overrated. Enjoyed the free ramen noodles at night though. Great for hungry kids.

Great hotel
Great hotel with lovely and very helpful staff. The staff were more than happy to assist with any questions and giving directions to major attractions too. The rooms are small but that is normal in Tokyo. The rooms are super clean and have everything you need. The location is incredible, walking distance to public transport and some great areas for shopping, food and nightlife. I would highly recommend this hotel.

ok but not geared to foreigners
Location is fine. The room is very small but Tokyo rooms often are. The main upside is that a Korean receptionist is super cute ;) Unfortunately otherwise there is a culture of trying to milk every last penny from the visitor. For example when I wanted a taxi to go to the next hotel I got a limo that I never asked for and had to pay much higher rate than normal taxi. When I asked if I could check out at 1pm I was told to pay extra 2000 yen. And so on.. Everything you want will be used as a way to get money. Only exception is the free noodles at night which almost changed my opinion about the place.. Until the limo scam the next day.. No Western TV channels either.. Only Japanese channels.

Nice hotel but be prepared for the busy crowds
Check in time is pretty strict, will have to pay extra even if u arrive 30m before check in time. Shibuya is one of the busiest stations & it was very difficult to manoeuvre with big suitcases fr station to hotel. Taxi would have been easier in hindsight. Harajuku is in walking distance but not with suitcases though. Luckily the hotel offers free shuttle bus to the station till 12pm. Room was clean & very sound proof though right next to the railway line. Bed was comfy though pillow provided was very thin & only one to sleep on. Love the hot bath & sauna & the cold bath after. Good provision of amenities. Free ramen at night was a nice touch. Buffet breakfast was amazing & good selection of both Western & Japanese food. Will look out for Dormy Inn in other locations too.
