Very Good8.0
Nice hotel with nice artwork
Nice hotel. Great artwork around the building. Warm room. Serviceable breakfast. Only complaint was the bed was a little uncomfortable and the pillows were too thick.

Don't judge a book by its cover.
Great hotel with great breakfast. Area a little seedy but still safe. Very close to metro station making transfers easy.

This was my first time in Berlin, and the hotel was perfect--great location, nice room, wonderful full breakfast with outdoor as well as indoor tables--next time I'll stay here again!

The hotel was great. The room was spacious for our family of three people. The bathroom was a little small but no complaints there. The breakfast buffet was very good and the breakfast and lobby area looked very nice. The service was also good. They allowed early checkin, their service people were good, etc. The hotel was located at Hermanplatz. This has a good set of shops and restaurants. However most tourist points require a transfer.

Basic, clean but oh so much street noise
I stayed here for 3 nights in April 2018. I was here for a short sightseeing trip. The plus: Plenty of little places close by for eating out, less than 5 minutes to the UBahn (Hermanplatz). Breakfast although simple offered everything you need. Beds comfortable and staff attentive. The minus: The noise (oh dear). I was on the side of the street and it was terribly noisy. It was very warm when I visited and I wanted to air the room (there is no A/C so beware if going here when Berlin is warm - the noise of the street cafes, motorbikes, emergency services etc - it stopped me getting any rest. Insist on a room away from the street. A crazy lift (elevator) system where you have to use one lift to go to the 2nd floor and then another to go to other floors. What a pain and time waster than was. Bathroom a bit dated and small - but all functioned fine and was clean I hasten to add. I didn't use the wifi as I always use my phone 4g - hotel wifis are always rubbish anyway. So in summary I would say 5 out of 10 for me, too noisy and plain. Certain features were just annoying. Next Berlin visit I will stay somewhere else.
