Great Stay at Drury Inns and Suites!
Drury Inns and Suites is an excellent property with an outstanding staff. This is the most quiet hotel that I have stayed at in years. The free breakfast and happy hour (with really good bar food) is the best I have seen. The staff is focused on customer service and this is very clear all the time. Many hotels have a couple of folks working something like a free breakfast, this is clearly a big deal to this property and they make sure you are enjoying it. Hot items and all the usual including branded cereal and fruit. We also noticed the elevators were really good. That is a sign of good maintenance. Within a mile you have most of the chain restaurants and since this it Orlando you find the specialty places too. The bathroom was the standard step in tub type, but that is fine with me. The room was spotless and housekeeping kept up with all of the use items such as coffee in the room. People were also enjoying fresh popcorn all day and the soft drink dispensers were running. There is ample parking and you are only a minute away from Interstate 4 so getting around is easy. One other interesting takeaway, two maintenance folks came to the door and said there was a signal that my A/C unit in the room was not running properly (most other places you have to call the front desk), they worked on it for about 10 minutes but honestly I had never noticed the problem. They clearly pride themselves on being on top of their business and I have never seen anything like it.

Good
I mean don’t get me wrong it was nice on the inside as well as the room but once I got in the room when I pulled the couch bed out it looked like it hadn’t been changed because it had hair everywhere on it in the chair that you sit in it had all types of popcorn inside in the bedroom it was hair everywhere on the pillows as well as the covers bathroom was ok after this happened the next day we came back to our room just to relax and watch some tv we couldn’t because it was down so we had to wait a few hours for the company to come and fix it a couple of days after that we get a letter saying that the water would be shut off for several hours so we could shower or get ourselves ready between those times the light lunch that they had everyday was basically the same thing which was mediocre. The staff was ok besides one of there night managers who was serving drinks was very impolite it was just ok to stay here but I know that the next time we do come down here we will not be staying at the Drury Inn!!!

Wonderful hotel next to Universal Studios
We decided to stay at this hotel for our 2nd trip to Universal Studios after having a bad experience at a resort hotel. This hotel is by far, the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The hotel staff was amazing. We got a queen suite room and it was very perfect for our family. The room had a microwave and a refrigerator. The front room had plenty of seating and a big TV, the bedroom had 2 queen beds and another big TV. The bathroom was big and super clean. There was plenty of storage and even a coffee bar area. The beds were very comfortable as well. They offer a great breakfast in the morning, and a kick back dinner in the evening. The dinner bar was geared toward kids, as it had pasta, nachos, chicken tenders etc. They did have salad and baked potatoes. The offered 3 alcoholic beverages per person, per night. Absolutely loved this! Now, my only complaint, which is small, is the transportation to the parks. You have to get a boarding pass and they have certain times the leave and come back. The first day, they were completely booked, so we had to drive. The drive was not bad at all maybe 10 mins. The 2nd day we did get a boarding pass, however, chose not to use it because you have to stay at the park until the pick up times. For example the first pick up time to come back to the hotel is 4:30. So for us, driving allowed us to go and come as we please. Will be staying here again!

Everything we needed & more!
Our stay at the Drury Inn was very pleasant and met all our expectations. We were in town to go to the theme parks, and Drury offered a convenient location at a very reasonable price. The rooms were tidy & clean, and the staff was very friendly. They accommodated our late check out and were very helpful when we'd misplaced a room key. My only negative experience was at the lobby's Universal Studios desk - we visited the counter on three different days, each day there were different staff at the desk and each day the staff were not at all friendly or helpful, to the point of being rude at one point! This was surprising, given how helpful the Universal Studios staff at the parks always are! Our young son even picked up on it and asked me if perhaps we weren't supposed to be at this hotel and that's why they were being rude. For example, on the first day I asked if I could purchase park tickets there at the desk, and the representative told me, "you can do that at the park when you arrive." In fact, he COULD have printed our tickets, but left us thinking he couldn't -- so we instead waited in a 40-minute line at the park entrance in the blazing sun. If the hotel management has any authority over the staff at the Universal desk, I'd urge you to press them to be more helpful and friendly, in keeping with your hotel's persona.

Value, convenient, pleasant
This was our first time at Drury. And it was a last minute trip. The room was comfy and spacious. Overall hotel was at night time even though busy. Breakfast buffet was a great value and had fruit and egg selections that fit my restrictive diet as well as waffles and biscuits and gravy my son ate. The hotel is close to most attractions and we used Uber which was cheaper than parking at the parks. The only thing (and it’s kind of snobby) was no usb charging ports in the room. Just standard plugs. I have been so used to updated rooms we only brought one charging block. I assumed they would have USB ports in lights and walls. Just something I wish I would have known. Otherwise pleased with stay and will stay again
