First impressions count and our first impression was bad. This property has tremendous unmet potential. Checking in was confusing and frustrating. We were led to believe there was a 24 hour reception. We were not informed that we would be required to pay a 2000 peso deposit via an online platform in order to get the code to a lockbox via an online platform. The online platform didn't work and getting the key was frustrating and time consuming. The sofa bed had not been vaccumed under the cushions and the bed is not really suitable for two adults. You have to be quite short to sleep on the bed. The water in the bathroom sink and shower doesnt drain properly. The water doesn't flow properly from the shower head. The apartment needs painting. The walls look dirty. We found foot prints on the walls, and weird splash stains on the bathroom walls. The amenities were not as listed. The hair dryer was broken and there was only one fork. There were power outages and we had to climb 16 floors on day two to get the suite because the elevator was not working. The level of frustration and anxiety could have been mitigated with communication but we were left to navigate these issues on our own. The location is excellent and the suite is good enough, as long as your expectations are low. Again, with a little bit of maintainaince, improved check-in, and better support and communication when there are power outages, this place could easily be 5 star.
