    Could do better
A bit underwhelming for a 5 star hotel and definitely overpriced but all hotels in the area are owned by the same group so you don’t really have a choice. Rooms are spacious with some thoughtful inclusions. Staff are friendly but a bit clueless (need more training). Our room was not serviced one day so we came back in the early evening to change for dinner to an unmade bed and untidied room... An apology and some compensation from the hotel was appreciated but we left with the impression that this hotel could & should do better

    A pleasant stay with reservation
If you are elderly you should ask how far away your room is from reception.Ours 185 was at the utmost extremities near the tennis courts and looked out on a blank wall. A really long walk. The coffee shop is a great place to eat. All the staff were helpful and very pleasant

    Exceptional 10.0
planes fly direct to Ayers Rock
From the time our plane landed, the awesome service started, with buses waiting to take us directly to our hotel. We were warmly greeted by the porters and reception staff, checkin was a breeze. Our room was spacious and clean, with a super comfy king size bed. We booked the Sounds of Silence Dinner, were picked up by a friendly driver in a luxury coach and taken out to view the sunset while sipping bubbly and eating canapés. Then a short walk to our dinner location in the desert, white table cloths, fabulous set up, very friendly waiters, lovely food and wine, gas heaters to keep us warm. During dinner the lights were turned off and we were given a 'star talk' which was both entertaining and informative. After dinner we were taken back to our hotel. It was quite expensive but absolutely worth doing. A once in a lifetime experience. Ayers Rock Resort also has a free shuttle bus which will take you to other hotels in the resort or to the town square where there is an IGA supermarket, shops and cafe's. There is also a 'hop on hop off bus' to take you to Uluru and Kara Tjuta. Again this is quite expensive but a convenient way to see the sights. Drivers were always on time and very friendly. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Great, comfortable stay in an expensive resort
If you want cheap, Uluru is not the place to visit. Sails in the Desert was a nice stay with buffet breakfast included. Having read the reviews of some of the other hotels, we felt we had chosen wisely and we were not disappointed.

    Not worth the money
It was a nice stay but the property is over rated and too pricey for what you get. There was three of us in the room. My daughter did not have a sofa bed or a roll away only a lounge to sleep on with no pillow or linen provided. This was pretty poor for such a resort.
