Value for money for the locality
This property is what everyone can expect from a similar class of small hotel in tokyo. Lobby was on the second floor. We got the room that was 'outside', no issues there. Hotel provided free coffee and tea facilities in the evenings and mornings. You could even help yourself to the free toiletteries like face masks and bath salts, for either man or woman. They provide a luggage weighing scale at the lobby, along with coin operated laundry and vending machine. Location was ideal, about 600m walk to the main tokyo station and just a short 1 minute walk to the Takaracho metro line (which was a surprise as the line goes direct to narita airport for less than half the price of the NEX train from tokyo station, and for the same amount of time). 2 family marts just round the corner which was super convenient.

We enjoyed the hotel as we wanted to be close to Tokyo Station for our departure to Kyoto the next morning. We flew into Tokyo from Canada and left right away for our travels throughout the country. They had all the amenities we needed and the staff were helpful. If you are a smoker, there was an area you had to walk to but it wasn’t too bad. Lots of stores and restaurants near by. The staff were helpful and accommodating. It’s my mom and I - we are small - so we didn’t have any trouble sharing the double sized bed. The hotel had pyjamas and slippers to use. They also gave toothbrushes, razors, a selection of body products and your normal shampoo, conditioner and wash. Would stay again if I needed to be by this station.

Value money for a great location
We returned to Fresa for the 3rd time for our annual vacation to Tokyo. We love the location and the little knicknacks (complimentary woman's facial care, scrubs, bath salts and more) the hotel has to offer. Transportation Smacked bet Takaracho station: Toei (subway); Asakusa line [express line to Narita Airport]- and Kyobashi station: tokyo metro; ginza line. These 2 subway brings you to most places in Tokyo. And a 12mins walk to JR tokyo railway Room Tokyo rooms are generally small especially for these budget inns (i.e. apa) However it serves our purpose for a good nights rest. We were allocated 4016 (corner outdoor unit) this time. Weak WiFi signal at this particular units (x16). Comparative to our previous Apa shiomi hotel, thus seems slightly larger in size. They are strict with check-in after 3pm and check out policy. We arrived a couple of times earlier and asked if we could check in. The reply we got was that additional fees is needed. I have no problems with other hotels, and that they would let us have the rooms when available. Thought this would sweeten the while hotel experience. Overall we are satisfied with Fresa stay and would return in near future.

Fresa Inn review - April 2018
The hotel was in between Kyobashi and Ginza. A short walk to either station and relatively close to Tokyo Station. Whilst I booked a smoking room, the room was definitely much more pungent in smoke smell than any other smoking room I booked at other hotels. The room was relatively small however comfortable. I was disappointed that the hotel refused to book Japanese sushi restaurants for me. For a 3.5 Star hotel and the amount of money I’m paying for it, I would expect that they would book some high end sushi restaurants for me as some hostels would book these restaurants for their guests. I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Fresa Inn is less than 10 minutes walking from the Tokyo train station. So it is very centrally located. It is also next door to the Kyobashi station on the Ginza line. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were good sized for Tokyo. The staff were all good at communicating with English speakers. The space in the room was a little limited (to be expected in Japan). One good feature was that the shower had a curtain to separate it from the rest of the restroom. There was also a free breakfast included with our booking. I would stay at this place again, due to its comfort and excellent location.
