The location was great, super close to the mrt and a mall. The facilities were great, nice pool and rooftop terrance. Overall, room I stayed in was ok. The layout of the room was great however needs to be cleaned more. The shower needs a deep clean and so does the fridge as it had a funny smell. Communication was fast and effective.

Likes:- Great location, very central to wherever I went. Property is clean. Roof top garden with its 360 degrees panoramic views of the surroundings. Small swimming pool which serves its purpose. What I didn't like about the property is:- the lack of human interaction as there is no phone in the room and whatever is required is dealt through WhatsApp. I wonder what happens if someone is not tech savvy and English is not their everyday language! Bath towels are too small for the average guest, instead bath sheets (100cm x 160cm) should be provided. Requested for face and hand towel but was told that they are not provided for. Requested for kitchen towel (I live in a studio apartment with kitchenette) to dry cutlery and crockery after washing but was informed that they do not provide that as well. I had to use tissue paper to dry or wipe up spills! I requested for coffee sachets but was told they are not provided for. Only a variety of teabags are provided for. Also, sugar is not provided for ! Of the 15 days stayed, I was given only 2 bottles of complimentary water! Stayed for 15 days, requested for late check out to facilitate a quick shower in the hot and humid weather before going to airport but was declined. Reason cited - another guest is checking in after me. However, if I were to pay a fee, that can be arranged.

Stay here if you can!
We loved our 9 day stay at Novena. The studio was small, but had a full sized refrigerator, cook top and sink and was well-equipped. The hotel is conveniently close to bus and MRT lines, and there was an excellent hawker center just a 10 minute walk away. But the very best part was the well-furnished covered deck on the roof -- we relaxed up there every day watched the sunset and sunrise up there. The staff was always helpful on the rare occasion that we needed help w/ a taxi. Very highly recommended all around!

Good location and relatively clean property. Room needed quite a few maintenance fixes. Bathroom door was stuck and had to be pushed really hard to open and shut, bathroom roof leaked when it rained, floor boards were coming up.
