This place is a great option. I traveled with my two doughters and wife and of course we were worried about space and safety. Fortunately the hotel was very clean and room was clean and cozy. We had the basics and a nice view to the street where you can see people walking all day long. Overall, location was the best feature of this Hotel, since it is located right at the middle of everywhere. You have a nice and light breakfast every morning. I mean light because the portion will not be a Texas size, but a small and flavored one. The table where you eat is arranged with glass and porcelain next to a colorful garden that gives a fresh environment to the guests. Staff is very nice and helpful. Not a lot of English speakers though, but for me this wasn’t a problem. I would definitely alert those who are seeking for a calm and relaxing place. This Hotel has two types of rooms, those next to the street with a balcony and those with no balcony. We got the nice view of the balcony but every night the party in Colombia starts around 10 pm and still you can hear a lot of noise and cars around 1-2 am. For us, it was tolerable but I’m sure people could sleep at all due to this. Also, it is hard to find. If you are getting there via taxi, the sign on the street is small but you will find it if you also ask for Cafe Central which is a small cafeteria located on the first floor. You walk inside the cafeteria and go to the stairs to go to the second floor where the lobby is located.

Good 6.0
The only benefit of staying at this hotel is its location, that’s it. Facilities were pretty basic. The bathroom didn’t have water the first day. Saw an earthworm creep into the shower. I guess you suck that for the location but I’m sure there are better options within the walled city. Staff were nice and tried to help - but they can only do so much!

Poor 2.0
Wouldn't go back
Air conditioner broke and the room smelled like mildew and had mosquitoes in it. The hallway smelled like dirty feet. Room was dark and windowless and the floor was dirty. Front desk staff wasn't very friendly and set us up for a private bus transfer at a time that didn't exist. They also charged us for water even with a broken air conditioner. There was a loud bell for guests to enter the hotel that rang late into the night. Showerhead was nice, room had a mini fridge, and hotel was in close proximity to ice cream at peleteria. For the price, could spend less to get a suite nearby at Casa Tere, which has a nicer room and staff.

Great location for exploring Cartagena
The best thing about this hotel is its convenient location. From here you can get much pretty much anywhere you want to go easily and quickly. Plenty of taxis pass by throughout the day or you can walk to Getsemani and the historic center. The hotel itself is charming and the rooms are spacious. Our main difficulty was with the electrical capacity of the hotel and the iffy wifi. We had to go to the front desk several times a day because the electrical circuits tripped and there was no way to call them from our room to take care of it because the phone did not work. Overall a good experience if you're laid back and don't mind small inconveniences.

Poor 2.0
Tiny Windowless rooms not as advertised
The reservation says rooms are 35 sq meters (~350sqft) in size, with window and balcony view. But we got a room that's at most 9 sqm (~90sqft). NO WINDOW, let alone balcony. They only moved me to a bigger room on the 3rd day and wouldn't give me any refund for the 2 days I stayed in the windowless room. Couldn't speak with a manager either. Hot water broken, and they fixed on the 2nd day. Wifi was spotty in the room. Other services are fine. Staff are overall friendly.
