Learn more about Lochearnhead

Lochearnhead is well-known for its attractions such as Loch Earn and Ben Vorlich. This welcoming city has something for everyone including sights like Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park within a rural setting.

Getting to this location was a rare challenge. I have booked this stay with family and friends on my way to Isle of Skye and didn't arrive to Loch Lomond National Park until nearly midnight. We were told the road has some potholes and arrived in two fully loaded saloon cars as sadly had no other option. The road was truly bad but if we passed it then most of the cars will as well. We didn't get to see the landscape until we have awoken the next morning, although the abundance of stars and a hooting of a tawny owl at 1 am was mesmerising. In the morning the weather was pretty somber but it hasn't taken away the beauty of Loch Voil. I went for a walk alongside the loch but didn't meet anyone at all. Walks at Loch Voil are truly good for the soul.
