Fantastic modern hostel with friendly staff and great facilities. They were very helpful after my late arrival due to a flight cancellation. The surrounding area is a little rough, but once you move away from the train station it gets better. Rooms were surprisingly quiet too!

The 6 bedroom room looks a lot smaller than the pictures online. I was there end of June, the room was very warm, no AC, with a loud fan to fresh a bit. The mattress, pillow and bedsheets were nice and clean. No stains, no bedbugs, no weird smells. The bedroom had the convenience of having it’s own door with a shower and another door with a toilet, but it was the size as an airplane’s toilet, imagine taking a shower in it, i’m fit,1,75m tall and it was very unpleasant to shower, to move around and dry myself, i wonder how bigger people than me can use it. Maybe bigger showers outside the room wouldn’t be that bad. All people at the reception were super friendly and helpful, but i was unlucky to get one in a bad mood who was very rude to me, but i believe it was an isolated situation. The block where the hostel is has lot’s of homeless and junkies around what gave me (and other guests i talked to) a feeling of “not safe!”, but i was told that they are not dangerous, not pickpocketing, so i relaxed and found out that the location is very nice actually and easy to go everywhere from there. Plus the main train/bus station are right next to it and it’s great to arrive and just go across the street with your luggages and you’re done. Supermarket, drugstore and places to eat, all across the street at the main station. I chose this Hostel mostly because of the price and location, and i would stay there again if i’m on a budget.

Was able to check in late at night (around 11pm) with no issues. Room was clean, bed was clean and comfortable. I had booked a bed in a 6-bed women´s-only room which I got. Felt safe during my entire stay. Location is very convenient, just a couple minutes by foot to central station. I also liked that I could put my luggage in a locker for up to 24h after checking out. IIt was a bit noisy at night, but that´s to be expected, given the location so I didn´t really mind. Overall, would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The hostel staff was great. I have no issues with them. It was the rooms and elevator I have problems with. The rooms, bunk beds and washclosets were too small, and the elevators were slow. I also felt uneasy sharing the room with women, but mostly cuz there wasnt much privacy. Im a middle aged disabled American sharing a room with young European women. I recently stayed at another Hamburg hostel, and the rooms, wash closets, and bunk beds were more spacious. And all men shared the rooms. The elevators were a little faster also.
