Very convenient B&B in Waterford city centre. I spotted it whilst driving over the bridge so didn't have to spend ages looking for it. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. It is an old building but that adds character!

    Don't go!
Ghastly. No window, just a grimy skylight. Sagging bed with grey linen. Grubby, torn carpets and smelly surrounds. Looked like an hourly rent establishment. we left once we'd viewed the room.

thoughtful owner and very good service
The owner, Mike, has mistaken that i have reserved 1 day but in fact it should be 2. He helped me to find another hotel, paid the difference and drove us to that hotel the next day. He is very helpful and friendly. What's more? Full breakfast is offered! Mike is so generous. Very good service, i appreciate it very much.

Nice staff but that's about all that was nice
The carpets were threadbare, the room was dusty, the door lock was fidgety, the ceilings had damp stains, the floorboards made a lot of noise, the water was cold, the phone in the room didn't work, the facilities were very basic and at least 20 years behind the times and there were other guests there who were unpleasant and possibly taking drugs

Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!!!! on you! You did not carry thru our reservations, although we received confirmation & #. The hotel was full! We had to stay in a Hostel/Hotel, 5 blocks down the road, thanks to the manager of Ancherage house knowledge & friend. We arrived @ 10pn @ nite & I was not happy with you! The Ancherage House has a beautiful view & the manager was professional, delightful. Thanks to, that is ALL I can tell you about the hotel.
