Staff 5/5 Room condition and cleanliness 3/5.
Front desk staff was so attentive, made sure we had everything we needed. Booked a driver to take me to the airport and had breakfast ready 30min earlier then usual so I would be able to eat something before going to the airport. They were excellent!! For cleanliness and room condition...was little disappointed because of the price I paid. The wall to the left after I entered was scuffed up. The room needs a paint job. Also when I took a shower I noticed a black hair on the wall and also around the toilet was dried wet spots. I didn't know if it was water, but I suspected to might be urine because it was around the toilet. I placed towels that completely covered the bathroom floor. I am a nurse so I get funny about bathrooms and their cleanliness. Also while taking a shower, there is not a tight seal with the shower door and did not keep the water in so there was a lot of water in front of the toilet every time I took a shower. Hopefully this message will help resolve these issues for the next guest.

Luxury hotel close to majority of attractions
San Firenze Suites has earned five stars from our group who stayed there for 4 nights as it was one of the friendliest beautiful hotels that we have stayed in. As you walk in, you will find that the lobby is rather petite, but it is cool and elegant. The staff there are very quick to greet you with a warm smile and give much help and attention with getting around this beautiful city. We were given maps and local information from the people on reception, and when we did need any help in our room, they were there within five minutes. We were very happy with the Happy Hour every night - where snacks and prosecco are available. This was lovely after a day in the sun in amazing places and walking up towering domes. The hotel is gluten free friendly- fresh fruit, hot food and breads/rolls for breakfast - buffet style. Our room was very spacious with comfortable beds. We found the bathroom quite large and tastefully decorated. The showers are powerful and hot, masses of clean towels and 2 TV's in the room with dividing doors to separate the 2 areas. There is a small fridge to hold your things like water, milk and margarine etc. Our room overlooked one of the streets with shops, but that didn't matter too much as we were out a lot of the time. The hotel does have 2 museums on it's door step and is set in a beautiful plaza, with several bustling cafe type restaurants, which we found very reasonable - and gluten free friendly, monuments, newsagents and mini supermarkets very near.

A lovely hotel in Florence Central area
Special thanks to the professional and warm heart crew in San Firenze Suites & Spa hotel to help me in arranging the wedding propose. Me and my girlfriend both enjoy the fantastic moment spend in Florence. Location: Hotel is located in the central sightseeing area in Florence. About 10 to 15 mins by walk to most important spots in the city. However, hotel is a bit far away from train station About 20 mins by walk) Suggest Tourist with big luggages to take a taxi from train station to hotel (Around 10 to 15 EUR). Hotel staff is very helpful and they will help you to arrange the transportation Service: Excellent service. All staff with smile on face always to show their passion and warmness in helping all guest. Hotel staff will introduce some nice local restaurants in Florence with good food and wine which they may not be found in tourist guide book. I have tried 2 of them and they are all good Remarks: Will definitely stay in San Firenze Suites and Spa hotel again for my honeymoon trip to Italy in 2019.

Beautiful hotel with horrible construction noise.
At first, we were blown away by our great room. It was a loft on the 4th floor with a skylight and wooden beams on the ceiling. We thought we hit the jackpot. That feeling quickly faded when we tried to take a nap to combat our jet lag only to be woken by loud construction. Long story short, the building next door had construction going on which was loud, the roof was being repaired which was loud, renovations on the 5th floor above us was loud, and the sour icing on the cake was when elevator repair work was conducted at 1 am right outside our room. Needless to say, we couldn't nap during the day or sleep well at night so as much as we loved Florence we were exhausted and were definitely ready to move on to our next location. We tried to switch rooms after the first night but it couldn't be accommodated. Tomas, the new manager, did make a point to speak to us about the noise and was very apologetic, but at this time there wasn't much that could be done. (He offered a voucher on a future visit, but who knows if we will ever get back to Florence. He said he'd coordinate a symbolic discount, but had to coordinate that through Expedia. We still haven't seen that, but it hasn't been long so we'll see.). The staff is very friendly and fluent in English which was very nice. The breakfast buffet was lack luster. There isn't much variety day to day and the beverages aren't kept cold (careful if you want milk).

A Great Find!
The San Firenze was instrumental in making our recent short stay in Florence a memorable one. Our very positive reaction to the hotel began a few days before our arrival when the hotel sent us a welcome message. It continued when we arrived and were warmly greeted by two lovely young ladies who took our luggage and checked us in most expediently. (Check-out four days later was equally efficient.) Our good feelings increased when we found we'd been upgraded to a two-level suite with a fabulous view over the rooftops, including the Duomo. This brought home just how well-situated the hotel is: all the iconic (and some less so) sites are close-by or within easy walking distance. We were even able to walk to the train station when it came time to leave Florence for the next stage of our trip. There is also good shopping (if one is so inclined) in the area and, of course, many excellent restaurants. The staff at the hotel were also great in this regard--giving us recommendations and directions. In addition to being well-located the San Firenze is also well-outfitted with comfortable beds, nice linens, modern bathroom fixtures, good storage space with enough hangers, cable TV, good Wi-fi access, and a more-than-adequate included buffet breakfast. There's even a "happy hour" with tasty nibblies and wine. We'd definitely recommend a stay at San Firenze Suites & Spa.
