Paradise Bay but not really a resort.

The view is good. Unfortunately Paradise Bay Resort is not really a resort. It just dosen't have the facilities to be a resort. The room was very good but the hotel itself is very dated and in a residential area. Many people online said they where kept awake by chickens, there is a feral chicken problem. Although we weren't kept awake. The walls are thin and you can hear other patrons walking around. The wifi is crap, it continually drops out. In saying all this the people are very friendly and helpful. I just don't think they should market it as a resort. The snorkel and sandbar tour is really worth going on.

    Don't even bother!

This establishment was SO far below our expectation, given the information and pictures on Hotels.com! It is NOT set over one level rather we had to negotiate more than 30 or 60 steps to get to breakfast and reception depending whether we went up to the road or down to the lower car park. When our concerns over this and other things were either dismissed or responded with "we will look into that and get back to you", nothing more was heard from the manager. The room itself was very "tired" and it looked like no-one cared about this room. Even the front sliding door had an unreliable lock! The anticipated view from our room, as per the Hotels.com website, may have been possible 20 years ago but since the photo was taken, large trees almost totally blocked the view. No phone or safe in rooms and drinking water was only supplied to the room on the check in day. At other times, you had to walk to reception to fill the bottle. Breakfast was another disappointment! Serving juice in paper coffee cup, one condiment for toast. Seriously! Even the Wifi password was changed without communicating this to the guests. The security pass to enter the pool area was a waste of time as one of the gates was permanently open. When we returned home, we sent an email to the "resort" (which it most definitely is not) outlining all our concerns. When the response came, it was incomplete or fabrication. We sent a subsequent email and heard nothing further.

Beautiful private cove area with a fantastic view. Charming room with a "view" porch and a kitchenette area. Ten minute drive to nearest town with grocery, restaurants and Starbucks. The Service desk was knowledgable, helpful, friendly and patient.

A beautiful place on the east shore of Oahu

Paradise Bay Resort came highly recommended. It is a good hotel. And the view from our balcony was amazing. A little more thought into the needs of guests would be appropriate. The pergo flooring could use a door mat inside the door. The kitchen was as described and the appliances worked fine. It was tight, but we managed 3 dinners and 3 breakfasts on one burner. The beds were wonderful. The A/C was powerful. The bathroom could use better lighting, but otherwise was great. The room was not "comfortable". No problems, just not a welcoming room. Again, a little thought would help. One glass shelf in the bathroom fell off with the slightest weight of toiletries. The iron was busted. But we managed. The staff was generally attentive. All kinds of Covid-19 issues and they made the most of them.

    quiet paradise

This place is a little paradise tucked away in an old neighborhood with the locals. It's very quaint place. It's old Hawaii. It's not a fancy resort with amenities, but you'll enjoy "how quiet/away from it all" it is. My wife loved the time we spent there!

Gorgeous resort on the windward side

The hotel grounds were Gorgeous! They really did a lot with such small space. We loved to just sit and admire the views which were great in all directions. The pool and exercise rooms were great. Our room (#14) was huge and had everything in it we needed. Upgrading to a room with a view is a must, as I noticed some rooms don't face the sun, or looked really tiny by comparison. Parking was easy as well. Overall, a great stay . Hope to be back soon!

    No privacy

Very small unit for the price, but that was not the ssue. We could not go on our deck because there were people right behind our deck fishing and kds running around and screaming and looking inside our room with no mask on. They were less than six feet from our bedroom! We had to ckeck out imediatelly. It was a disaster....
