Beautiful hotel! The location was close to most of what you’re wanting to do within Uluwatu, the staff were SO friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and beautiful and the BREAKFAST was next level - probably our favourite in all of Bali. The one thing I will mention is that there are a lot of stairs to get down to the pool / rooms depending where your room is but it’s worth it if you can handle some stairs! Can’t wait to come back!

I had a truly amazing experience at Anantara. The cultural activities included in the price (yoga, ceramics, batik painting, boreh making) and commitment to excellent service made my visit fun and memorable. If you're paying for a villa, know that there's no absolute privacy - the rooms on the floors above can see the private pools (but that seems to be common with Bali resorts). Other than this mild annoyance, the staff will see to your every request. They even installed an extra reading lamp in my room! Very grateful for such attentive staff.

8/10 Very good

The staff were the best part of the stay. The property is tired. Given the pandemic lock down, the room could have done with a good airing and a good scrub down due to the mould forming. The bathroom did not smell clean so we are not sure whether it was an issue with the pipes. The jacuzzi knob came off when we tried to turn it so we didn't turn on the jets in case we get 'stuff' coming out. The room that we were in - 312, also had a musty smell. We leave the door open when we are in there so that helps, but the mustiness returns when the doors are shut and the AC is on. Such a shame, because I would have rated this an exceptional stay if it wasn't for the poor maintenance.

The staff was amazing. The property is really nice, well location, with a great view of the ocean. One of my favorite hotels while i traveled Bali for 10 days.

6/10 Good

Overall ok, but expensive
The views from the hotel are very nice and staff is very friendly. Breakfast had a great selection. However our suite was in disrepair. The sink leaked all over the floor, the patio door didn’t lock, and the light in the closet shocked my husband when he tried to turn it off. It seems as though this once 5 star hotel has slipped a bit. Additionally, the hotel is set quite far from a main road and town making it difficult or pricey to leave for dinner/excursions unless you rent a scooter or hire a car. There are 3 options for restaurants offered, but all 3 are really expensive for Bali standards and didn’t serve exquisite food to hold up the pricing.

8/10 Very good

We were upgraded upon arrival to a massive villa, which was lovely. The view was incredible and the faciltiies good. No kidding about the stairs - lots of stairs around the property, be aware of this! Reasons I did not give this 5 stars: Wifi was bad in our villa. We had an issue with yellow/brown water coming out of the sink the first day. It was addressed but it was rather jarring. Cabs that the hotel arranged were expensive. The road that leads up to the hotel should be more walkable, with some lights and perhaps a pathway. There is an opportunity for the hotel to develop a beach deeck similar to Ulu Cliffhouse, as they have an amazing space for it. The beach area is massive and beautiful. They should try to make use of it! There were some interesting things about the villa - we couldn't make the sound system work, there were no hand towels in the kitchen or living room bathroom, no silverware in the kitchen either. Pool area never got any sun. Otherwise we had a great stay and staff was nice
