I had stayed at this hotel about five years ago and it was called something else. I forget what the name was and I was not very impressed with it at that time. I decided to give it another try because it was one of the only hotels available as it was a very busy weekend in Cartagena. To my surprise not only the name had changed but the hotel itself had changed. The place was outstanding. From the moment I walked into the reception the girl behind the desk Geraldine was like she was excited to see me. Like I had known her as she came across so friendly and spoke good English as well. During check-in she told me everything I could possibly want to know about the hotel, the service, and surrounding things in the city. I was amazed at the quality of her professionalism. In all my travels and I have been traveling for 26 years this is the best welcome I’ve ever had at a hotel. And I definitely will return. The room I had was wonderful, very clean, everything worked perfectly and it even had some English channels. Upon check out it was just as good, fast and efficient, and they made sure that I got in the taxi outside the front door. I don’t recall the girls name in the morning when I checked out or the guys name when I checked in and checked out it was the same person but he was also very good. Very polite and they really really made you feel welcome. Also the breakfast was very good for a hotel this size. The pool is small but sufficient for the size of the hotel.
