We took a family room for 7 nights. The room was spacious and well equipped. The hotel is very nice and has private and indoor parking for each room. A nice stream flows in front of the hotel. The hotel is near thr cable car and has a basic bakery, swimming pool, spa, games (indoor and outdoor) for children. The reception only works until 20:00 but we get along if necessary. The town itself is a 20-minute drive from Chamonix, but an 8-minute drive from the Swiss border, which is a huge plus. There is also a train station next to the hotel. There are lots of nature trails in the area. The town (Vallorcine) is quite sleepy and quiet. There is no supermarket or stores. Each room is equipped with few capsules for dishwashers, two garbage bags and small pieces of dish soap and bath, which is for the entire stay (not enough for 7 nights stay and the guest has to purchase an extra on their own expense). There is no cleaning of the room during the stay and there is no change of towels / sheets. Guests are required to clean the kitchen themselves at the end of the stay or otherwise will be charged a fee of EUR 100.There is a laundry room near the reception for a fee of EUR 5 for the washing machine or dryer. At the end of the stay we were required to pay EUR 42 (!!!) for a city tax (EUR 3 per adult per night).
All in all, a worthy value for money. Quiet and pastoral location. Far from the bustle of Chamonix but close enough (by car) to all attractions. We will return again.
