This hotel is excellent in so many ways, from the room size, to the comfortable bed, from the balcony to the bathroom and from the location to the staff.

8/10 Very good

Positives: Well-priced, well-situated hotel. Decent restaurant with good choices. Very good restaurant staff who were charming, despite being overworked and going flat out. Pleasant room, comfortable bed. Water dispenser in the corridor a very good idea. Good shower. Good breakfast. Negatives: air conditioning clearly not up to the job of a full hotel in 38'. My complaint was treated with more or less a shrug as the receptionist condescendingly told me it was hot (really??), that the hotel was full (and..?), and that it would cool down eventually (after about 6 hours it did). Pillows awful, great thick artificial things, very uncomfortable. Disappointing not to have a walk-in shower. Difficult for both of us to climb in and out of very deep bathtub to use shower, especially with no handles or bars or a non-slip mat. You would never see this in England and I'm amazed it is legal in France. I would stay here again, but only with a walk-in shower.

Enjoyable stay

Balcony overlooking Clermont Ferrand an unexpected bonus. Restaurant excellent. Personnel really helpful & friendly, albeit run off their feet due to understaffing.

Convenient

Overnight stop when making the journey from Spain to UK. Hotel easy to find, close to main road, but not affected by traffic noise. Staff friendly. Only downside, it was 38 degrees at 7:00pm outside, public area and restaurant didn’t seem to have any aircon. Room however was pleasantly cooler. Accidentally left my Kindle device, was contacted by email during the day of my departure, contacted the hotel later to arrange for it to be returned. Received notification when it was sent

8/10 Very good

Very nice hotel. We had to ask to change our room because it was joined with another one and we could hear someone talking all the time. Luckily there was a different room available and it was really nice and quiet there. Disappointed with very slow internet. Basically not usable… we mentioned it at the checkout and a young woman at the front desk didn’t apologize or felt bad about it all. Just said they know about it. Very disappointing customer service. We got there pretty late and were hoping to have a nice supper there as that’s what was mentioned in the services. But they said the kitchen is closed already (it was around 8pm) and they could only offer us a salad. Other than that - a good hotel, with nice and clean rooms.
