No elevator
if you have a lot of bags don’t stay at this place! there’s no elevator and all the rooms are walk up. we stayed on the 4th floor and had to haul all our bags up a little staircase. it’s good for the central location but other than that, not much else. you’re not able to check in early, but they do allow you to leave your bags in the lobby until the check in time. Found it strange that they ask you to leave the key for the room if you’re stepping outside. Bathrooms are tiny!

Great location
The location is great, and is in Le Marais, which is a very good neighbourhood for restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself is small, basic and clean. If you are OK to bring your own toiletries, and i would recommend this hotel. There is no lift, so if you have a heavy luggage, beware. If you travel by Eurostar and arrive in Gare Du Nord, you can take the metro line 5 straight to Bastille, and walk 2 minutes to the hotel. it is very convenient. Prices are reasonable especially in that neighbourhood.

Their website description was exaggerated. The rooms were very small and cramped. The carpet in the room was torn and dirty in areas. The bathroom so small that it was difficult to use the toilet and the shower drained so slow that you had to run the shower at a trickle or stop and start the water flow. Their idea of a room with a courtyard view was not accurate. Their courtyard was the hallway down on the main level which everyone coming and going all night used and since the noise traveled so well in this "tunnel", it was difficult to have your window open for any cooling air at all so it was very warm in the room. No air and no fan. Our room, at this hotel, was by far the worse we had encountered during our entire 26 day vacation. This hotel has no elevator and a very narrow circular staircase and our room was on the 5th floor. We had to drag all of our luggage up and down these stairs in heated hotel which was difficult for the two of us. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Would stay again
Hotel was great. Location absolutely fantastic, on the same road as major bus and metro routes, and walking distance to key attractions. The area felt very safe even at night, lots of nice cafes and bistros to eat at too. The hotel was secure and manned 24/7. The room was basic and clean, which was fine for us. My one complaint was no air con and the beautiful large window opened on to a very busy street below which meant it was loud throughout the night with it open. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would be an improvement, but that’s nit picking. Would stay again, really enjoyed.

Ideal place to stay in the Marais
I have stayed at this hotel a few times and am always happy. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is ideal for exploring the Marais.

Good 6.0
The location is wonderful in our favorite part of Paris La Marais. We were a bit schickes as we checked in and realized there was no elevator and we were on 6th floor with winding staircase. Also thought all the rooms had air conditioning and came to learn only some and the room we booked was without. Summer in Paris, it’s nice to have. Our room was simple and clean newly renovated bathroom with great view. However, another room I saw was dark with a rather old/funky in attractive bathroom. Overall it was ok and we had a nivve time there, felt like we were in our 20’s again. Good vibe at the hotel.

Poor 2.0
Don't even think of staying here.
Terrible. It is cramped.hardly any floor space to move in the room. Dirty carpet creaky floors , chocked sink. Hotel has no elevator and to make matter worse a spiral staircase hardly big enough for a man and a suitcase, and to drag to the room on fourth floor is a nightmare. No kettle, no glasses in the room. Breakfast spread is primitive. Location is average about 20 mins from Notredam. Hotel building is 400 years old as I was told and the hotel is 200 years old and surely shows the age.

The Hotel is in a great location and the 24-hour concierge desk is very attentive. The low comfort rating is because the hotel room walls are very thin, and we were able to hear all of our neighbors' conversations. Otherwise, everything was great.

Be aware ! Before booking !This is a 2 star hotel
We were told by that this was a recommended hotel. We booked a 2nd floor room but while waiting in the lobby to check in , we were changed to the 6th floor guest in our room decided to stay an extra day. With no elevator and very steep stairs it was very difficult to climb unless you are a teenage mountain climber. The rooms are tiny, not well equipped and the service was unacceptable. Would not have accepted this hotel had the agent told me that it was only a 2 star hotel. I think giving this hotel 2 stars is extremely generous! That being said.. the location was good ! near the bus tour blue line. In short ..great location...terrible hotel and we would certainly not recommend it .
