Perfect Location
We had a nice stay at Hi Chicago. You cannot beat the price for the Location. We attended The Taste of Chicago and were two blocks from our destination. The area is very walkable- near many popular sights & attractions. In terms of the hostel itself, it's not extravagant. We had a private room with bunk bed and shared common area & bathroom. There's only one bathroom/ shower in a suite but I think we worked out for everyone. The shower had low water pressure but it did get really hot. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest you but some earplugs. The hostel sits by the train and you can hear it. Also you're downtown so a lot of noise in general. All in all, it was decent stay. It served its purpose.

Disappointed
The room was very stuffy and hot. Definitely, no air circulating. We were also not prepared to share a bathroom since the description said we would have a private bathroom apparently that just meant we could lock the door.

DIRTY
My family and I were on a 2 bedroom with a private bathroom. Bathroom was dirty, dirty towels left from the previous person, the was hair in the shower, the shower tiles were dirty, and the shower curtain had a moldy smell. One of the bed has dirty sheets and the carpets looked like they have not been vacuum in weeks. I will never ever stay there again or in any of their other locations
