The hotel is pricey but amazing. Imagine waking up every day in luxury with your door wall open and the sound of the ocean outside. You open your curtains to a full view of the sun on the ocean and that’s just how u begin your day! Enough said 5 stars.

We had a wonderful experience at Opal Sol. The food at the pool was great. Our room was not ready when we arrived and they told us about a half hour. We went to eat somewhere as we figured it would be longer. Our room was ready a hour later. It would have been great if they would have offered a free drink or something to keep people at the hotel while waiting.

Bait and switch
Welp! Getting ready for the second part of our trip. We booked UPPER TWO bedroom king suite with hot tub + soaking tub. They gave us a two bedroom suite with $1,000 voucher + two days of free breakfast on the 7th floor. Not one to complain, but I would expect more from a place where you are spending $1,600/night. Our kids were SO excited about the hot tub.

Lovely week getaway
We knew this was a brand new resort when booking, and while there were some kinks that still had to be worked out, as expected, we had a wonderful time. The resort was truly beautiful and brand new which was great. All of the bartenders, the pool manager Nicole, and pool staff were amazing and so welcoming. They really made us feel like family on our stay. Rooms were comfortable with a great view. The only reason I can’t give a 5th star is because hot tub was broken when we were there for a week, and we had some issues with being given misinformation about bringing our own drinks and a rude director of food/beverage in regards to the misinformation. The resort however did make it right after speaking to the general manager and we will definitely be coming back in the future.

No need to leave once you get there.
What a wonderful stay! I spent a long weekend in March here with my family of four. From the start the valet was efficient and friendly . Check in was quick and kind. Our room was breathtaking with the view of Gulf of America. The room was equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, toaster , freezer , silverware, dishes , glasses, a Keurig with cream and sugar , and a safe . The bathroom had a blow dryer , shampoo, conditioner and soap. They had a pantry on every floor that every morning offered granola bars , trail mix, bananas, oranges. apples and also board and card games. This is also where the ice machine was located and was always stocked with ice. In the afternoon the hotel then switched the breakfast basket to cookies. All of the restaurants and bars in the facility are fantastic and decently priced. There is no need to leave for food or drinks . Honestly we never needed our car once the entire trip since everything is within walkable distance . The pool had wonderful staff and plenty of seats with complementary towels so no need to pack towels. There are water bottle fill stations throughout the hotel and also water at the pool areas for refilling. There is a public beach area across the street that offers rental cabanas, umbrellas and chairs daily. There is also a walkway on the second floor that connects you to the Opal Sands resort and their great restaurants to also enjoy. We cannot wait to come back and stay here again.
