Missold booking! Defintely not staying again.

The staff were lovely and cannot be faulted. The room I was given was a twin rather than a double and the booking states that breakfast was included, however when I went down to reception in the morning (it was 8am so not too early or too late), there was noone there and most of the doors were locked. I don't think they ever serve breakfast there as they have a bar and no restaurant. The room itself was dirty and there was hardly any water pressure to shower and I didn't feel clean after showering! At night you could hear everything that was going on outside the hotel as well as people moving around in the adjacent rooms as the walls are thin and the beds/ floorboards creak. The twin beds were extremely small and the duvets were tiny so had to use two to cover myself (I'm 6' so a normal bed should be a good size!)

Do not book this hotel if you want to sleep. Every night has a function ie: open mike, karaoke etc and although the pub closes at 11pm they then spill onto the street and carry on their party until after 1.30am. I was booked in for Monday - Friday and had to book alternative accommodation on the Tuesday morning as I couldn't stay there another night. Will never book this hotel again and would not recommend to anyone travelling for business.

    Reasonable

Booked a family Room one double bed and 1 single bed, No other rooms were available with a double bed so had to re arrange furniture to make double bed from 2 singles. Due to how old the building was being on the top floor was not good for getting hot water for the shower, We had to keep turning on the taps off to get the water through the system the water was Either freezing cold or scorching hot The restaurant had lack of choice Burger and chips, chips, pizza or cheesy chips tried to eat their one night but the chef had popped out to the shops, Not exactly what you call a restaurant There was no draft ale or bitters available at during our stay or draft ciders.

    Steer clear

If we could have found another hotel we would have left 5 minutes after we arrived. The shower curtain in a very dated bathroom was hanging of as was the curtain in the bedroom. You could see tho the bed was clean the mattress was ancient. I had to sleep on top of the bed to use the duvet cover as a cushioning as the springs made it so uncomfortable! The whole hotel appears to need updating so l wouldn't suggest going there. Breakfast was good and served by a very pleasant woman.

Cheap stay you get what you pay for!

Very basic ,tired looking Hotel, we were on the top floor greeted by two buckets that were catching the leak from the roof.. I think they might have been in the middle of decorating.. not too noisy considering it is a pub The staff were friendly and helpful convenient for the station

Standard does not match the price!

Negatives: No service rep at the desk. No curtain in one of the windows in the room. Low water pressure. For the price, this hotel is not worth the money. I’ve stayed at better hotels on the coast for half the price. Not impressed. Positives: Breakfast was nice.

    Pretty Poor

This place is long overdue some TLC. The receptionist was very unwelcoming and blunt. The room had been cleaned but there was still dust in places. Very loud (and terrible

    Disappointment.

Hard to check in as no front desk so had to find info from pub staff. Five bulb light above bed had three bulbs out. Light above sink not working and light above toilet so dim could not shave using sink. Carpet in room and stairs not hoovered. Banister by bathroom had three spindles missing. Half the side of the bath was sprung out. Constant noise from beer garden each evening. Only one on site parking space next to beer garden. No free on street daytime parking, only if you could find it, two hours no return bays. I will never trust your site again.

    Nice and simple

Nice and easy stay for one person. Helpful staff. Small area for parking but managed in my pick up truck. Don't expect a powerful shower as building is Victorian.
