Lovely stay
Oldstyle Bali hotel with great pool

Poor
The rooms are in bad shape. Bathrooms don’t have clothes rack or hanger. One of the rooms we have been given had leakage in the bathroom which could not be fixed so they finally changed it. Other room had its lock malfunction which the staff set right but it meant we were stuck outside for nearly 30 minutes. Placement of A.C. Unit is such that it takes very long for the room to get cold. Despite all the room conditions, the staff were good and helpful.

Room was tired and in need of renovation. Bathroom floor was dangerously sloppy. TV didn't work. Electricity/water were intermittent. Shower was tepid at best. Toiletries and tissue never replaced.

Great staff, central location, needs updating
Excellent welcome at this central Ubud hotel, the staff are it's biggest asset. Walking distance to the Sacred Monkey Forest and many good eateries around. We were in a superior room which looked like it was one of the original rooms in the hotel. The buildings are a mish-mash of styles but our balcony overlooked the garden area and one of the pools which was pleasant. Our room was up a number of quite steep stairs which I would avoid if you have any problems with mobility. The room, although it will have been cleaned, looked shabby as it is overdue for updating, especially the bathroom. For example, the tiles at the entrance to room appeared badly stained.

Not the best option in Ubud
The room had ant trails everywhere, including the bathroom. The tub looked dirty and unsanitary. Even worse the towels and sheets were old and looked dirty. One of my friends stayed at a hotel nearby and I was taken back by how much better her room was for an additional $5 a night.
