Fabulous 8.6 From 314 reviews

Very good 8.0
Fabulous 1 star hotel right next to the Doma.
I enjoyed staying in this hotel. It was as I expected given the price I paid and the location. This is a small hotel in a traditional Italian building, right in the centre of the tourist area of Florence. I stayed in Mid Oct, so heat wasn't a problem, however I can see that Florence would be a nightmare in July heat wise. The weather was great (about 25 degrees) and I would recommend visiting Florence out of season unless you love being very hot! The lift worked fine. I appreciated the fridge and kettle in the room (and access to a freezer in the communal areas) The whole place was spotless and they had 2 very clean and up to date bathrooms. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The only downside for me was that I accidentally tripped the electrics in my room late at night. however I just went to bed and got the cleaner to sort it out in the morning! However, at least I know the electrics are safe! One thing about the area that you might find helpful, the Carrefour express opposite the hotel is very expensive, however there is another about 3 minutes walk away which is much cheaper. I can't remember the name, however I found it on google easily.

Exceptional 10.0
Lovely homey space near Duomo
Hotel Dali is not a particularly fancy hotel, it's basic but very homey, and beautiful in it's own way. Owner Marco is the heart and soul of the place, I was warmly welcomed by him in the same way like how the ex-customers' commented here. He gave me the map and marked down all essential tourist spots, great places for lunch and dinner and even ice-cream. I mainly used his map for my reference. The location is fantastic too, it was my first time traveled to Florence but I absolutely had no problem in finding the way back there, it's just right next to the Duomo! and the street Via del Oriuolo is quite different from all other streets connected to the Duomo, it's narrower and somehow less touristy, so it's really easy to find. Other staffs are also as friendly and helpful, the furniture and other stuffs available like hair dryer are a bit old but they function well and overall the hotel is comfy. I have noticed some shared bathrooms but I was lucky to book the room with individual bathroom. The street is full of interesting shops as well, antique shops, gallery with painting class, nice restaurants, historical landmarks... I have stayed there for 5 days and I do wish I can stay longer and even live there! It's a memorable experience! one more thing, the breads provided are delicious!

Good Central Location
Hotel Dali is a nice, centrally-located hotel about 5 minutes away from Il Duomo walking. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a nice and friendly attendant who promptly checked us in and got us set up. The room had a bed for two, a small tv, a small table with breakfast items, a small fan, and a sink in the corner. There was no AC but at night we would keep the window open and the small fan running to keep the temperature down. August in Firenze is really hot. There are two shared bathrooms in the hotel. Each of the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. They provided a refreshing cold shower whenever we needed.

Exceptional 10.0
Charm ,character and central
Our fist experience was the cute Victorian lift which just held 3 people but worked perfectly throughout out stay. working on reception was the most helpful man presumed to be the owner he went to great lengths to mark out a map of where we were, and the walking distance to all the main attractions of the city. Our room was delightful overlooking a large courtyard planted with trees and shrubs. The double glazed windows had shutters to insulate the room and provide a dark room at night. Our spacious room contained a very large double bed, sink ,fridge ,coffee and tea making facilities with a basket containing croissants butter and jam enough for a modest breakfast .Plenty of room with high ceiling with a built in fan, ample plugs and sockets.Outside our room there was a large fridge freezer and a microwave for our use.only a couple of yards away from a shower bathroom .Sharing was never a problem. when you step out of the hotel into the street, you are only 100 yards from the magnificent cathedral and opposite a friendly reasonably priced restaurant with excellent service and local recipe food. The staff were ,more than helpful lending us crockery ,booking coach tours ,great room service

Good 6.0
Florence is the hottest city in Italy. I knew there was no AC in the rooms of this hotel, but I didn’t expect that there will be heat wave in June. Their fans were really weak and not useful. I don’t think it’s a good idea to stay here in Summer (maybe it’s delightful in other seasons), especially you can predict when will be heat waves. Besides, the wifi was really weak and slow.
