Enjoyable 4-night Stay
Warm welcome upon check in it was quick and to the point I was given Room 12 Classic Room, Queen Bed, with a good view of Kingsford Smith memorial Park, the room was clean cozy and warm. the only concern I had about the room was the ceiling in the bathroom above the shower its massively pilling away and mold in some corners. The Reason why I keep coming back to the Metropole is it's so affordable for your money for what get, close to everything and over the road from the Station friendly staff for the rest of the hotel its charming as ever and got no problems with it. looking forward to my next stay there.

Very Quaint!
It fulfilled my criteria, clean, comfortable and very convenient, near to the train station and bus services! The hotel had real character with rooms furnished in the ‘old style’! The freshly cooked breakfast was excellent, full marks to a staff who are proud of their heritage! Probably won’t suit everyone’s taste, but l loved it and would stay their again! 👍

Well our stay was very good.the room was big enough not huge but good size for two people beds were comfortable reverse air condade room nice and warm. Bathroom was clean . Didn't eat there. Was restaurant and cafe just around corner. . But I think they should show better photos of rooms . One we saw made us think twice about staying there . But glad we did

Disappointing 4-night stay.
As a Returning Guest I had High Hopes from My last excellent 4 night's stay back in January of this year. As always greeted with a warm welcome and was give room 23, upon entering my room I was surprised to find no Microwave, I was upset about this, so I brought this up with Reception and they told me that it's a safe thing of fear of catching Fire so there have taken them out of all of rooms, they apologized and kindly give me a free continental breakfast the next day. the Bathroom constantly smells bad of damp and badly needs updating, for the rest of the hotel its charming as ever and got no problems with it close to everything Food and Shops and a big bonus hotel located over the cross from the train station.
