We had an amazing time at the Silverland Yen. The location was great and easy to get to many sites nearby. The breakfast was great with both western and Asian options. The rooftop pool is a bit shallow (thigh height) but it was clean and comfortable with great views. The best part about the hotel is the extremely friendly and helpful staff. They were fantastic.

Fantastic experience!

Good value…
There were things to like and a few things not to like. Location is good, 2 minutes to the markets and a 10 min walk to Nguyen Hue st. Found a few really great restaurants and bars near by. The breakfast was excellent but don’t be late as they run out of things like juices and croissants, or they just don’t want to replenish, not sure which? The cooked breakfast mini-menu was also excellent providing more variety. The afternoon tea was also tasty, a little quirky, but, a nice touch in the afternoon. Our room was small and at times noisey from the traffic and also from activity in the hallway including other inconsiderate guests… they really need better soundproofing. Also, the window had an ineffective blind (privacy no issue) so as soon as it became light, so did our room. They also have only 1 lift and whilst half the time no issues, but on occasion we experienced some lengthy delays, even a queue one afternoon. Perhaps minor, but still a little annoying. A real positive was the staff who were all excellent, very helpful and friendly for the duration of our stay, particularly when we needed a late check out due to a delayed flight. Overall Yen is a reasonable option and with breakfast, the minibar and afternoon tea were included in the rate we paid, so it represented excellent value for money. With that said the noise and a couple of the other issues may cause us to look at other options for our next trip to HCM visiting family. Safe travels…
