Fantastic Hotel in upscale trendy neighborhood
This was one of the most lovely hotels I've ever stayed at. First let me say the staff everyone of them were a dream. They greeted you and tended to all your questions and needs with the most genuine concern that you were enjoying your stay at the hotel and in Singapore. The hotel is artfully decorated with stunning artwork and sculptures the owner is a collector of magnificent curated pieces that are beautifully placed around the hotel lobby and entrance ways. The hotel when you enter smells of lemongrass, ginger and has the most amazing aroma. The rooms are meticulous and every detail is observed to insure comfort. The mini bar has fresh water and juices (free) assorted teas with a cute tea pot and glass ware and other amenities that you could enjoy. The room has a "smart phone" free for you to use for long distance to varies countries including the states and local calls, maps, and any help you may need navigating your way around Singapore. The breakfast (free) was fabulous. Eggs, assorted Singapore style breakfast, pastries fresh fruit, assorted cereal and coffee drinks were available daily. I would highly recommend this hotel and would never stay at any other on my return to Singapore. The staff are the best trained and most competent I have ever came across. I have written a personal note to the manager complementing their outstanding staff they are a true asset to the hotel. I thank Faris, Bryan, Isaac, and Del for their kindness and professional assist.

Fantastic hotel for those staying only a few days
I do not regret staying at Wangz. It is a great hotel, with pleasant staff and large, modern rooms for couples. They also provided complimentary beverages in the minibar, which was handy as hawker complexes charged even for water. speaking of, ‘Handy’ became a wonderful tool to provide a mobile internet hotspot for your own phones, and I appreciated the free international calls back home. There is a great hawker market (Tiong Bahru market) a mere three to five minutes away which I highly recommend. Overall a wonderful experience and a joy to stay at Wangz. Despite being a hotel I highly recommend, there are a few improvements that can be made to improve the enjoyment of those that stay for more than a few days. Firstly, Wangz required a S$50 dollar deposit per night in case of damages, etc. This adds up, with no mention of a cap. We stayed for a week, meaning that they were asking for a S$350 dollar deposit. As students, this was beyond our budget. To put it in perspective, this was a bit more than triple what we spent on food! We will not see the money returned for another two weeks. Note, the hotel had been paid for in full months prior and is thus unrelated. Secondly, the rooftop restaurant is quite small, and the breakfast only cycles through a few items. Moreover, those items repeat themselves every three days or so. Hence, you get sick of the breakfast buffet very quickly. So the hotel is great, but suited to those who are staying only for a few days.

Excellent hotel for pricey Singapore or Singarich
Arrived at 11. Check in at 2 but our room was not ready. Staff were very friendly and had a room for us at 1. We had had a long flight but they neither complained when we ate in reception nor fell asleep on the sofas. The lobby in the hotel had a minimalist modern look. They kindly upgraded our room so with children thankfully we had extra room. It was clean, modern and for our city needs more than adequate. Reviews said breakfast limited but for us had everything we wanted. They make you eggs for your desire, and have cereals, fresh fruit and pastries. For any European there can be no reason fo complaint as they also provide bacon and sausages. They also provide food for Chinese tastes but I cannot say how good that is. My family were very happy with breakfast. The city views from here were also good. There is a very small gym and I would do my karate practice in this quiet space. The room is small but to have a weights room in itself was surprising for me. They have an evening menu but we did not eat there at night. The bathroom was a good size albeit a shower only. Car parking available too but we used grab a taxi to book travel around the city (an app which is much cheaper than city taxis) and having wifi meant we could use the app in the hotel. Best thing is they give a handy phone which allows you to travel around and has apps. Sadly no grab taxi app otherwise amazing. Excellent hotel and staff. If they get a pool it will be perfect. Also ideally placed.

Good place, but ratings unusually high
My plane landed at 6am, arrived at hotel at 8am. I had asked for early check-in many times. They claimed no rooms were available, and then tried to sell me an upgrade for extra $100 per night. Took a look at the room offered, and it was smaller than the one I had reserved. When I pointed that out, they agreed and then days they would offer free breakfast on the day of arrival if I took their offer. My reservation already included breakfast, but they made me pay for it on my arrival day. I had paid for the most expensive room available on website, only to find out the above. Btw, I stayed for 3 nights, on a business trip. After this "welcome", my expectations went down. The breakfast buffet was OK, not great. I had to wait till 1pm. No coffee in the lobby. The room was very clean. But only soft drinks in the minibar: no beer, wine or liquor. The phone, known as 'handy', provided by the hotel, is a cellphone that gives free local and free calls back to the US. Along with free Wi-Fi. I didn't use it, as I got a sim card at a convenience store for SG$15 that provided 500 minutes and 100GB LTE data for 5 days. MRT stations are a long walk from the hotel. Have to take the bus. Shuttle service from hotel is not frequent, only to the station and not from. The ratings for this hotel are unusually high. I have stayed in better hotels in Singapore.

Great Stay !
Great little hotel, highly recommended. We were made to feel at home from arrival to departure with lots of interaction with the very knowledgeable, professional and friendly concierge team. The staff in the Rooftop restaurant were also very friendly and engaging. We had a ‘superior room” – plenty big enough for a couple for a week. Our room was modern, the bed great and the bathroom exceptionally clean. Breakfast in the rooftop restaurant was a highlight – advertised as “continental’ but included eggs to order and a great selection of hot and cold foods at the buffet. Free wifi worked well. Complementary Minibar included free softdrinks, juices and water. There is also a “handy” smartphone for free use, (including local calls and some international locations) The hotel is not far from Chinatown, and very close to the Tiong Bahru food market (well worth a visit for lunch – pity it just closed for 3 months of renovations to May 2017). MRT station is a short walk away (hotel bus stops there for the less adventurous), plus there are several restaurants close to the hotel. We found taxis to be the best form of transport – clean, safe, regulated and great value for money. Would definitely stay here again! Stayed February 2017, travelled as a couple
