A small, nicely furnished hotel in a great location. The hotel is small, but nicely furnished in old French style. The staff is friendly and English speaking. The rooms are small, but not very small. You have windows from the floor to the sealing which are double (or triple glazed) which block almost all traffic noise. So, if you have a light sleep, earplugs (for safety) and windows closed, then no issues. The beds could be a bit more comfy though. The good news is, air con is available in the rooms. The bathroom is small, don't expect much, but it's good enough for a shower. Also good is, everything is clean. The breakfast contains a piece of baguette, a croissant, tea or coffee, a little pot of apple mash and apple juice, altogether good for a quick start into the day. The elevator is small and can carry max three people, but apart from the fact that it is small, all is good with it. The hotel is very centrally located, between Saint Paul and Hotel de Ville on Metro line 1 which carries you across Paris.

Adorable French Boutique Hotel
My friend and I recently stayed here during January. We had a lovely room with 2 windows that opened up into balconies, and a large bathroom (with bathtub closed in shower). There was ample storage space for all our bags, 2 side tables, and even a desk area. The bed was a standard queen size, with comfortable, clean, fresh linens. Breakfast consisted of lovely warm croissant and baguette with jam, butter and cheese spread. Orange juice, coffee and tea were also available. The neighbourhood is lovely, full of old narrow streets with stunning buildings. Great little boutiques, cafes, bars, and restaurants. Le Marais neighbourhood is excellent. Most of the staff speak English, French, and multiple other languages. They were all very kind, the hospitality was the usual french kind- not too helpful, unless you ask (then they are happy to help- a sort of non-invasive customer service approach). The hotel building is very old, which gives it the most wonderful charm. Winding staircase, old paintings, vintage decor and wallpaper, bright colours, cool windows, etc. There is an elevator to help you go up and down if you are on the upper levels, or need assistance with your bags. Overall I will 100% be happily coming back. Thank you Hotel de Nice :o)

Poor 2.0
Not Quirky or Parisian - Just awful !
I am amazed that this hotel has such good reviews. The room shown on was NOT the room we were actually given (Room 10). It was on floor 3 (have to ask for gain lift access). Reception service very hit and miss. We wish we had complained about the room at the time. It was an awful room, very small and with terrible bedding, and up several stairs (you have to ask for access to the lift). Please see my 2 photos. When others have described the hotel as quirky or parisian this doesnt cover the fact that the hotel is very worn and quite shabby. We stayed there for 2 nights from 9-10 September. We were so glad to leave.

The hotel is in an excellent location
The Marais is a great neighborhood and the hotel is right on the middle of it. Taking public transport around the hotel is so easy. We came and went to the airport by metro and train. The hotel offers the option of breakfast and it is a decent breakfast ( no egggs thought)! Be aware that you have to give your key to the staff every time that you leave the hotel, and also we were asked to come back before 12 pm because the main door might be closed and we will need to ring the door to be let in. Well we were late one day but he door was still open so no problem The room was spacious but the bathroom was really tiny ( it is really clean and it does its job)

Exceptional 10.0
Excellent location and hospitable staff
The hotel is in a very old building so there are a few steps and a tiny lift. The hotel is decorated beautifully. The ladies at the desk are very accommodating and pleasant. The breakfast is very nice and the staff is attentive; we only wished they would offer more coffee as we each like a couple cups every morning. We did ask for extra coffee and they obliged. The hotel is in the middle of the city and the room has double doors that open onto a small balcony. We really enjoyed stepping out there and watching the activity below. There are cafes and stores both right and left
