It's got some issues
We love staying here, but three shortcomings we noted: 1. The complimnetary cookies have become pitifully small 2. Our next-door neighbor in the hotel brought two large non-service dogs to stay in their room. It was obvious these were not service dogs, and these people are used to scamming hotels to keep their dogs in rooms. 3. The outdoor patio was not operative, but should have been

Terrible experience
Had a guaranteed reservation, arrived at 9pm and they had no rooms available and claimed I had no reservation. Interestingly, hotels.com shows that I checked in and even gave me the awards credit for the stay. Obviously the front desk gave our reservation to someone else. At that time of night there were no decent hotels available that night so our trip was ruined.

Location! Location!
We chose this spot on our way from Savannah back to NC. This place is perfectly positioned since you have a very short walk to great restaurants and/or shopping . The room is comfortable, with easy access to the gym and coffee shop next door. The staff is super helpful! We’ll be back!!

Our first time staying here… overall a clean, comfortable room in an excellent location. Parking was a nightmare at check in - we drove around for almost 30 minutes on a busy Friday night because the hotel parking lot was full. When I finally called the front desk I was told there was actually overflow parking available at the law firm one block away from the hotel… would have been so helpful to have been told this ahead of time (like when I called to confirm our check in time). The room was clean, bathroom was spacious, no breakfast but a $5 voucher for the coffee shop downstairs. I would stay here again in a pinch, but for the price of the City Loft you are better off going for one of the nearby B&B’s.

This wonderfully renovated property was charming, appealing, and close to all the places we wanted to go near the waterfront in beautiful Beaufort. We were greeted by the warmest of personalities, Audrey. She was all about accommodating guests, and we appreciated her and it. Our room was beautifully decorated with vibrant colors and was well tended to. The bathroom had a pleasing shower and tub configuration which seemed newly done. I especially liked this property for the vision poured into a property from days gone by which allowed it to remain in the mix of today. Special extras were extended and enjoyed such as wine chilled in the room, fresh cookies at turndown, discounts given to places we had already planned ahead to enjoy, early and late checkout given with a smile, and etc… We WILL return to stay as we found the property to our liking and the price, too. No wonder our friends had recommended it to us!! It made for a very good stay in historical Beaufort, SC!

Overall ok
Overall, a good place to stay. The bathroom was really nice. The bed was okay, I could feel my fiance toss and turn. The hotel itself is basically a motel that got a face-lift, the AC is a wall unit and the walls are quite thin. We're happy we brought ear plugs.
