Fake reviews and false advertising, stay away
Beware this hotel is under construction and being rebranded as the Prince Akatoki. This hotel is falsely rated as a 5 star luxury hotel. Construction began in June and will not be complete until mid September. There was no mention of this construction on any website at the time of my booking in June. There are signs everywhere apologizing for the construction and promising a lovely hotel once the renovation is completed. The signs are pretty insulting to anyone who is staying in the hotel in its current lackluster condition. Check in was chaotic and took over 20 minutes due to a large group that took over the entire lobby. We were taken to a room that smelled strongly of paint fumes, upon further inspection the entire floor was covered in plastic and was still being painted. After complaining to management of the fumes we were moved to an "upgraded" room. The room had not been renovated, had dirty carpets, and stained sheets. We did not like this room but were told that it was the only room that they could give us that would not smell like paint. In a laughable attempt to make us happy with the room, management gave us 2 drink vouchers. This hotel does not have a restaurant on premises as it is being renovated. Breakfast and drinks are being served in a small room in the basement. The staff is friendly and trying to make the best of a bad situation. That being said this hotel truly ruined the last leg of our London trip. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Lovely central London location near Paddington.
I've been staying at a five star legendary London hotel for 21 years; they are like family. This trip, unfortunately, they got my dates entirely wrong and rather than haggle over it or ask them to accommodate my needs, I decided to venture out a bit, especially given that it's a long trip and being in a more affordable 5* might be nice. We had stayed in The Arch for one night about 3 years ago on a quick stopover and found it to be cute - a nice mix of trendy and traditional and somewhere we wouldn't mind exploring again in future - albeit the antithesis of where we have called "home" in London for decades. These two places could not possibly appear or feel more different, but what they have in common - the one thing that has kept us going to the other hotel for 21 years - is the staff. The staff at The Arch are attentive, happy, genuine and professional. Even the little things that often go unnoticed in grander hotels - like a light bulb out in the bathroom or missing sweetener on the Nespresso trey - does not go missed here. The room itself is lovely & bright and the aforementioned Nespresso maker a hook for an early-rising caffeine-addict like me. I had booked two separate bookings in two different categories, but they upgraded me to the higher for the duration of my stay. The food is also a wonderful surprise and if you get bored with the room service menu, you can order from the very tasty Hunter 486 restaurant. I'm here 4 more nights, but we will definitely return.

Very good 8.0
The staff was outstanding : Reception, concierge and the restaurants staff , doorman. Courteous, caring. friendly and promptly took care of any request. The breakfast incredible in choice, freshness and quality for the continental and the cooked was really good. The restaurant food was excellent. The only problem our room.that was classified as "executive room" was l a rather small standarad room . But the batroom and the shower was awesome. . But the staff of this hotel is what makes it exceptional. All of them.

Exceptional 10.0
My wife and I paid for an early check-in time for our room at the Arch London, but we were unfortunately waylaid several hours by an apparently quite calamitous furor involving baggage vehicles, as well as a recalcitrant transportation service fortified by a driver who not only was late arriving at Heathrow, but arrived sans uniform, sign, or any other accoutrement that would let us know his profession. After some proper vetting by my Law & Order weaned wife, our nominal driver--quite stunningly--outdid himself by not remembering where he parked. While I found some level of bemusement traipsing behind the befuddled driver with our baggage in tow, like an intrepid Lewis and Clark, exploring several of London's most picturesque airport car park levels, my wife's scowl indicated that she was not feeling nearly as blithely carefree and adventurous. So, when we finally arrived at the Arch London, we only had one hour left of our prepaid early check-in time remaining. The hotel staff, upon hearing of our woeful welcome to London, immediately sprung into action. They disarmed my wife with wit, charm, and a delicious beverage and greatly impressed my by waiving the early check-in fee, while letting us go up into the room well before standard check-in time. It didn't end there. Our hotel representative was not satisfied with the condition of our room and immediately upgraded us to a larger room, rife with luxury amenities. Thus began a week of amazing service.
