A very pleasant stay
The hotel is a little bit dated but it has everything you need and the room is slightly bigger than those of other budget hotel chains, so we are very pleased. Really appreciate their sustanability policy - they don't put anything unnecessary in your room/ bathroom but you can help yourself at the hotel lobby if you need any extra accessories, from bath salt to skincare, etc. We left the eco sign most of the days but they still tidied up the room for us. It's great (we stayed in another budget hotel chain in our second half of the trip and they didn't tidy up our room and in fact, left used towels next to/ on our bed. I have no clue why they did it!). The breakfast is simple but it's enough to make you full. Hotel staff speak good English and are very helpful. We requested to courier our luggage to our next hotel. We didn't know how to write the address in Japanese. They helped us to check, filled in the form and called the hotel to confirm. I'm not sure if it's just the standard in Japan but we felt being taken care of. Nihombashi is quite a posh area. It's safe and there are lots of shops and restaurants around. Being close Tokyo station is also an advantage. However, there isn't much to do in late evening (except a few convenience stores open nearby the hotel), so don't expect it will be like Shinjuku if you like to stay up late.

Overall a very happy and pleasant stay
This hotel is a really great, mid-range option in a central location in Tokyo. When searching for hotels, this had GREAT reviews and was very reasonably priced for this area of Tokyo. For that alone, it was a great deal. It IS a little shabbier on the inside than perhaps the photos show, but it's well decorated and always smelt really nice so we found it charming. There was one con that I read about beforehand- the rooms are relatively small- but that was fine by us. UNFORTUNATELY, this meant the bed also was quite small for two people that don't like being glued together when we sleep. So that is really the only major con about staying here as a couple. It was a firmer bed too, but had it been more spacious it would have been fine. With that said, we had really lovely service here. Everyone was very helpful and sweet, and I like that the Villa Fontaine chain is working on being more eco-friendly. For smokers, there is a little smoking booth in the lobby which my bf made good use of. If I was in Tokyo as a singleton, I would stay here again (or see if they have bigger beds in different rooms!)

Great hotel, great location
I previously stayed at a different Hotel Villa Fontaine some years before this trip, so I knew when I made my reservation I was staying in a good quality yet affordable hotel. I stayed in this hotel for several weeks and have only positive things to say about it! I found the front desk staff very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast is delicious, offering salad, yogurt, cereal, breads, eggs, rice, and meat (hamburg, sausage, or bacon). The hotel is close to a JR Station (Shin-nihombashi) and a Tokyo Metro Station (Mitsukoshimae). They are about a five minute walk away. Nihombashi Station is also not far. There are two Family Marts very close by if you are on the go like me and need a quick bite to eat sometimes. The hotel room is a bit smaller than I am accustomed to but standard for a Japanese hotel. Highly recommend!

Great prices & good location
The check-in/check-out process took only few minutes. Staffs are welcome. There are variety of food serves for Breakfast everyday (vegetable salad, two kinds of Japanese soup, sausages, omelet, fried rice, pastries, bread&jam, yogurt, cereals, hot coffee/tea, cold orange juice and milk. The hotel allows guests to take away breakfast to dine in their bed. The room space is not too bad. I could take 2 suitcases there but had to open them on the bed. The hotel offers every thing you need for toiletries in high quality. Hotel building was built to safe from earthquakes as I experienced M4.8 earthquakes from Chiba on last night of staying. I could feel the vibrations occurred on the 12th floor. I had to hold on to the corner of the bathroom for a bit because I couldn't stand firmly. Then it was stop and the hotel was fine. Easy access to Tokyo Metro stations within 8 minutes walking distance.

Fine, meh breakfast, good connections with metro.
Overall the hotel is fine, the breakfasts aren't very tasty though. Room small and tidy but found a lot of dust near TV. My biggest complain would be the power socket placement - there was NO night table and nearest socket is in beds legs - that way you have to flip yourself in order to charge your phone while in bed, paperthin walls make you hear people talking at night in room next to you AND shower water WARM at best, forget about hot shower or bath. WiFi fast (about 50/50mb) but it's impossible to use it for downloading/uploading files because it disconnects from time to time. Hotel's neighbourhood is business area - literally everyone wears black suits and neckties - I felt like I'm attending a big funeral. Staff very friendly, people at reception desk spoke english.
