Montagu was the cherry to our 1st visit to London!
Perfect location! 15-20 min walk to/from Paddington Station for Heathrow connections. Less than 10 min walk to Baker St tube station. Quiet, clean, safe, and lovely neighborhood to wake up to, and to go home after a day of sight seeing. Many options nearby if you don't want to venture out into the city (we mainly did more in the city but walking around the neighborhood there are several pubs, restaurants, and grocery stores). Staff are friendly and very helpful. Within an hour of checking in, the gentleman at the front desk informed us of the newly issued 1, 5, and 10 pound notes which was very helpful as I was almost given an old 5 pound note that night. Premises are secure thanks to the 24 hour front desk and the building is locked at 11pm but easy to enter if you return after hours. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. We stayed in the bottom floor which didn't have much of a view but that didnt matter since we were out all day and used the hotel to sleep and relax. I highly reccomend this place and will definitely stay here again and again!

Good quality boutique hotel
Good stay. Room and bed comfortable and decent size. Bathroom with roll top bath and shower lovely with very nice Molton Brown toiletries which are a decent size too. Nice and clean and little extras like decent coffee, hot choc and water in your room. Bathroom tap and door needed fixing but I advised them at checkout so hopefully it will be sorted. Breakfast nice although not fantastic - would Like an option of English breakfast and scrambled egg was microwaved (I’m a foodie so was just ok - I’ll choose poached next time!). Room was a little noisy at night in the morning due to noise coming from above - fortunately didn’t last for long but I’m a very light sleeper so I have asked to be put on the top floor on my next visit. There aren’t any lifts - doesn’t bother me but other people may find this tricky. Staff all really lovely and helpful. Good area - loads of places to eat nearby. This is the second time I’ve stayed and will stay again.

Very good
Comfy, clean and brilliant!
The hotel was lovely, the staff were great. It was perfect for where we needed to be for a work conference so location was ideal. My room was on a higher floor so I had a fantastic sleep, the shower was amazing and the bed was so so comfy and everything was immaculate, really nice toiletries and the bottled water was free which I love! Our only complaint was with my colleagues room, he stayed on the lower ground and although his room was just as lovely and comfy and clean unfortunately he didn't get a wink of sleep. There was a hall light on overnight which I imagine the staff must need or something, but this light shone through the door frame keeping him awake but also people were up and down the stairs and walking around upstairs all night which was really loud in his room.

Five star standards.
We were fortunate to get a room at this hotel quiet close to our required date. However it did not disappoint, in fact we were very pleasantly surprised. The style and decor of the hotel is tasteful and it is spotlessly clean. Very warm welcome from Joao, who proved to be efficient, courteous and a really pleasant gentleman. As we made a late booking our room was quiet small , nevertheless everything was covered. Good toiletries, nice refreshment tray, hairdryer, safe, modern TV. The WiFi connection excellent. Smallish bathroom but quality towels and great shower. Good buffet breakfast, with extra toast provided in a very pleasant room. Highly recommend.

Lovely little hotel in the heart of London
This is a gem - a small, personal, cosy boutique hotel within walking distance of everything. Staff are among the nicest we have ever encountered - friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble - and accessible 24/7. Situated halfway between Hyde Park and Regent Park, if you are happy to explore London on foot, you couldn't do better than the Montagu - Westminster, Buckingham Palace, St Paul's, the West End, Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus etc are all within a 45 minute walk. And if you don't like walking, you have a couple of underground stations just around the corner. A great find!
