Loved this historic Inn! The town is delightful to visit and our overnight stay on Lake Michigan was so much fun. Great staff. Good food. Bed was very comfortable. The only thing I would change is that our room was on the street side and got a little noisy once traffic resumed in the morning. (Maybe give ear plus and eye shades to guests staying in the front rooms facing the street. The fresh baked cheery cookies were wonderful! We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Elevator is old, small and clunky. Clean room - nice size but the room floors are slanted and squeak with every step. We were on top floor - wonder what it sounded like below us. Very good breakfast but the Denver omelette wouldn’t be acceptable in Denver. Easy parking. Nice view of the lake if you pay extra to stay in a room on that side of the hotel.

This is an older Inn but well maintained, clean, and very historically built with many architectural features. The rooms do not have a television but there is a very nice lounge on the second floor with a large screen TV. The bead was antique but the mattress and pillows very comfortable. There is a restaurant and small bar and restaurant with a nice view of the lake. We like staying in non chain hotels as they seem more personal and have a local vibe. The only negative was the rooms in front are near a busy road and you will have traffic noise. Overall we would stay again and recommend.

We loved this place! The room was beautiful with a wonderful jet tub, comfortable bed and big windows towards the lake. Would have been nice to have a cappuccino option at breakfast since the coffee was pretty weak. The table top Skittles game in the lounge was great. We would stay here again!

It’s a certain taste if you wanna unplug an unwind it’s probably a good place. There’s no TVs in the rooms the very old as you can expect. However, they were always shorthanded. It seemed like for staff whether being in the restaurant we had to leave and go somewhere else they just didn’t have enough people to handle what they were dealing with. Good views rooms on the road side are very loud because of the traffic.
