Disappointing
Paid extra for a room with a spa as we don't get away often. We discovered after checking in that our room did not have a spa. When I returned to reception to discuss this the clerk was checking in another guest. Whilst he was doing so he made a point of telling them where all the facilities were located, something that did not happen when I checked in. Upon questioning the booking I had made I was told they had not been told the booking was for a spa room and that they had no other rooms available. I was also informed that they "may" be able to contact Wotif on my behalf on Monday but probably not till Thursday when the Rep came in. I had to accept the room with disappointment. I then spent the next hour of my time away on the phone with Wotif trying to figure out what went wrong. I was read out the confirmation email that was sent to the resort that clearly stated that I had booked a spa room, however this was denied by reception. I eventually was granted a partial refund however the damage was done. Also the view from our top floor apartment was of a derelict run down house, not the lovely scenery depicted on the site. When I checked out I was confronted by reception saying that they had been contacted by Wotif in regards to the mixup and an argument ensued, I believe this was very unprofessional as it was not my error and that discussion should have been between the resort and Wotif. I will not be returning to this resort nor would I recommend it to others.

Tops the lot, inside A1, close to beaches, quiet.
I booked the accommodation using Trivago for the first time and was able to choose from a large array. My choice of Flynns Beach Resort was a pleasant surprise for my me (grandmother), my daughter and grandsons in that the 2 bed apartment was spacious, nicely furnished, with large balcony. overlooking a wildlife corridor where we encountered bush turkeys who roosted in the paper bark trees. The boys loved the outdoor play equipment and we loved being able to stroll around the billabong over the walkways and look for more wildlife. We chose to eat at the nearby family Pizza restaurant almost got giddy with the vast array of meal choices on offer. Friendly staff, good food, BYO and just down the road. I was very impressed with the resort and will definitely come back and stay longer than one night.

This was our third time at the resort. The first two were at the front overlooking the beach which I prefer. This time we were tucked down at the back which was fine. I was disappointed this time that arriving before 5pm and the office was closed. It was also difficult reaching who was on call. Another family who had arrived finally got on to someone and had to ask about giving me my keys as well as her own. I also found the apartment not up to the cleanliness standard as I had before. The outer part of the toilet had poo smudged on it so I cleaned it myself as well as the shower before we used it. I would come again but I was disappointed on a few things this time.

Disappointed
After booking online with Lastminute, I arrived and after hours service handed me the keys. The appartment was in great condition clean specious and well equipped but the issue was there: one bathroom for five people. The family must wait in queue to have shower. I was Wandering if that is the standard four stars resort!!!!!! In addition, when I asked the information staff next morning they said in a straight way " this is mentioned in the website and the letter you've received " but in fact that wasn't written . I hope you'll be aware about those facility conditions so the customer wouldnt be surprised when entering the appartment

Who closes reception at 5pm.
Check in was quite difficult, I arrived after the 5pm close of reception, called and was given instructions to get my key, which wasn't obvious. Was then quite difficult to find the entrance to the apartments as it was quite dark. Once at the gate had no idea how to get in, was looking through paperwork for a number, then someone pulled in behind me and told me to use the key. Finding my apartment was another drama. From the time I pulled into reception till the time I was settled into apartment, after 2 trips back to the car and up 3 flights of steps it was a good 45 mins. It was an exhausting check in
