Relax at Abbey Beach Resort
The staff were all very helpful and cheerful, even though at times they were a little short staffed (most places are lately). Tap water tasted terrible, however there was always fresh drinking water at the front desk. Kitchen was well supplied with basic appliances, making it easy to prepare our own meals. Bed and lounge were very comfortable. Great shower as well. Restaurant and cafe had a good range of delicious meals. Coffee and cake were great too. Indoor heated pool was large and well maintained. Good playground plus easy access to the beach and beachfront path.

Great sized apartment, however husband didn’t fit in shower, restaurant was super disappointing, pool was a let down (also no spa) , overall probably wouldn’t stay again.

The indoor pool was wonderful and sufficient to overcome the dated feel of the property. The downside was the inability to contact reception by phone or email, they simply didn’t answer the phone and didn’t reply to emails. They also did not have all the advertised foxtel channels and the manager was terribly defensive and rude when I approached him about this issue. Although they advertise Premier Movies and Nat Geo on their “Guest Compendium” the manager said they have not actually had those channels “for months”. The Foxtel channels they do have were mostly sport, racing and reality. Overall it was a good holiday in a lovely location but the staff could use an update to their hospitality training, especially the unhelpfuk manager.

The property location is great, however the overall condition of Abbey Beach Resort is tired & old in bad need of refurbishment our bathroom shower was corroded large amounts of calcium build up on shower.Carpets dated & tiles cracked Linen grey in colour need replacing.
