Madrigal hotel

Really excellent hotel. Casual ambience. Well appointed - room was tiny but spotless.

Stayed one night; room was clean but small (as most rooms are in Paris hotels). Shower was very small and the shower door did not close well so water ended up all over the bathroom floor. Door to the bathroom was also only a sliding barn door so if you want total privacy in the small room, you won’t get it. Location was good, construction was happening right beside the hotel though. Sound carries a little from the next room but fairly well soundproofed from outside traffic noise. Bed was quite comfortable.

A simple, stylish hotel. Staff friendly and very helpful. The shaggy dog Only comment is the large gaps on the bathroom sliding door.

Enjoyed our stay...great location. Close to the metro, nice brasserie next door and good restaurant on the other side.

Unfortunately it was a terrible experience. The hotel was OK, but the hotel employees asked me for a credit card to make a supposed "guarantee charge" and finally they charged me twice for the room. We had previously paid through hotels.com and they already charged again at the hotel. More than a month has passed since that and they have simply stopped answering my emails and do not want to return the money.
