Don’t bother taking your car!
This was a difficult review to grade as the hotel is great but the parking situation actually put a ruinous black cloud over the end of what should have been one of the best days of our lives... our daughters wedding day. To take what is an exorbitant amount when I’m already paying for the room (£20pn) as prepayment for two nights parking, I expect to arrive back and have a space. There wasn’t one. Having to drive round looking for a car park at 2300hrs in a strange town isn’t my idea of fun. Apparently I should have told you to reserve one for me. Apparently you should have told me I needed to. Personally I expect the handing over of my hard earned cash as prepayment for two nights to be indication enough that I want a space when I get back. The next morning I was told I “just had to present the card” they gave me and I “would be let out foc”. I wasn’t. The attendant said no one from the hotel had told them I was parking there. It took almost six minutes to get out. Additionally the car park I was directed to is attached to a shopping centre and not secured. We had to leave a PA system unattended in the car as, to unload and carry back to the hotel, was not an option. What a total disaster. It is a ridiculously small car park for a large hotel. I will be making a formal complaint.

Shocking customer service
Would like to stress that I am not one to write hyperbolic reviews - this is an accurate portrayal of what happened. I've stayed at a number of Radisson hotels in the past - all of which I found perfectly amicable. Unfortunately, this hotel is an exception. - Bed's weren't changed from previous customers. - Mould in bathroom - Loud noise (sounded like chairs being dragged) which went on ... asked to swtich rooms and request was denied. - Cold "English Breakfast" buffet - General dirty and uncleaniness of rooms - Mugs in rooms for Tea/Coffee weren't washed All issues were raised with hotel but no solution offered. Asked for refund/compensation after stay, was denied this primarily because apparently I hadn't reported issues to front desk which was untrue. Hotel manager even offered refund upon receipt of evidence of cleaniness issues and then said, I quote (and have an email of him saying this), "I won't be able to honour my previous promise". Rang up hotels.com, after 45 minutes on phone they said they couldn't discuss further and disconnected call. Never had such poor service in my life, never mind from hotels.com which have been great in the past. Very disappointing and will be forced to refund this via my credit card company which I've never had to do before.

I found absolutely NOTHING to like about this shabby hotel with very unhelpful, passively aggressive staff! I did, however, find plenty to dislike about it as follows: 1. Upon entering the room, I found all the curtains stuck on the left-hand side of the window, with bright light pouring through the right hand side (as it would not slide across to allow privacy). Correcting this required me to get up on a chair and 'unpick' the curtain rings which were all tangled, broken and unfit for purpose. 2. A walk across the carpet left my white socks covered in coarse black hairs and fluff. The room had obviously been cleaned in a very perfunctory manner. 3. The 'double' bed was actually two single beds of differing heights (just in case I had any expectation of still attempting to sleep in the middle). 4. The kettle lid broken at the hinge. 5. The seal on the shower was cracked and hanging off (yet I still managed to get it back on and create reasonable waterproofing with the bathtub). 6. On both visits to reception the staff did not have a single member with English as a first language, communication was difficult and any question I asked was deemed by them as me being disrespectful (which I assume is a why of deflecting a question that they don't understand). In summary, I couldn't wait to leave again in the morning.

Air conditioning didn't work at all, didn't even turn on, horrendous night sleep during a mini heatwave and being on the 10th floor, no windows to open, had to get up and throw cold water over myself throughout the night. Worst night sleep in any hotel. Did a cup of tea for husband and I the following morning using the tea facilities in the room, poured milk and a ball of mould fell into the tea, the milk had gone off and all mouldy which nearly made me sick. I have a photo if only this would allow me to attach a photo. Passed the comments during checkout, staff didn't even ask "how was your stay"on checkout so I had to bring it up myself. Member of staff didn't seem too bothered, stating i should have rung reception in the middle of the night to get someone to fix the air con and blaming the house keeping for not changing the milk and checking dates - sorry not my problem, I paid for a room and was the hotel's responsibly to ensure the room was ready and fully prepared for guests - the whole experience was very far from expectations and wasn't offered any apology or a gesture of good will. Leaving the carpark was such a palaver - there was a code needed, which no-one had given us. no intercom to ring reception, luckily a work man came over after a few minutes seeing we were struggling and opened it for us. Can't say I'll be rushing back anytime soon.

Disappointing experience...
I got there a couple of hours earlier than the scheduled check in, but the reception staff was kind enough to let me check in anyway. Upon noticing the "add breakfast now and get £5 off" poster by the counter I asked for breakfast to be added to which she said "certainly". I also asked about late check-out, and she managed to give me 1 hour extra. (1PM check-out instead of 12) Next morning I had to get up bright and early as I had tons of work to do. I got to the restaurant and the staff tells me my name isn't on the list. "Ok" I said. "Errrr...okay... I did ask for it to be added at check-in but...ok.....so......? .....Erm, so...er, erm... er... never mind then?" At which point the lady said "Ok, I can charge your room. Go ahead." So I grabbed a seat and started putting hot food on my plate, when the lady came up to me and told me that I had no credit so I had to pay NOW, she will accept cash or card. I didn't have my wallet on me so I then had to put my plate of hot food down, go back to my room to grab my wallet and come back down to pay. By which point my hot food was no longer hot, AND I had to pay the full 17 pounds instead of getting the 5 pounds off as I should have if the sign-up during the chek-in was successful. Also, the room I was put in had an adjoining room and the sound proofing was next to zero. I could hear every single conversation the couple next door had, and their morning alarm seriously sounded the fire alarm was going off in my room. Not on.
