Bandos is a great destination. Speedboat transfers were seamless and upon arrival we were greeted with outstanding customer service and an ice-tea! Which was a pleasant welcoming surprise. All staff are lovely and wanting to ensure you are satisfied throughout your stay. We had a Garden Villa by the pool and absolutely loved it, extremely spacious with a sitting area on the front porch which is nice when you want to relax at your own Villa but still remain outdoors. The only negativity we have is that the snorkelling isn't free as such; you have to pay for the fins which I found misleading. I reported this at the time and unfortunately got no where with this. Fortunately we took our own snorkel and goggles (which are supplied Free of Charge) however disappointing that fins are not included given this is generally what you require when snorkelling. The other activities on Expedia that are listed ie: Banana Boat, Kite surfing are also not included and you must pay for. (Again, I found this to be very misleading). The only activities free are Goggles and Snorkel for snorkelling and 1 hour pp (max 2 hours per day) of Kayak. The remaining activities are to be paid for. Despite this I would still recommend Bandos Island; the customer service is amazing and the food is exceptional! Absolutely stunning marine life (we say many sharks both Reef and Black Tip Sharks) as well as a Mantaray snorkelling.

It's a great value for an all inclusive option. Most of the staff were super friendly and had a smile on the face. Also food in Gallery restaurant was great. However, wifi was poor during our stay (last week). Also if you cannot handle bugs stay away from Jacuzzi villas because the bathroom is open to the wild!

The beach is just amazing. Beautiful surrounding and very relaxing. Overall highly recommended resort. However maybe just get the normal room, as never used the Jacuzzi as you don't really need to. Much nicer to sit on the beach and under the water watching the fish swimming around.

This resort was beautifully presented, and is a slice of paradise. The facilities are great, and the daily excursions were fantastic. The resort staff were amazing and extremely friendly. The rooms were comfortable. However they may need a little bit of an update, and a fresh coat of paint. But they are consistantly kept clean and tidy which was great. We decided to upgrade to the all inclusive package as the prices for drinks and food were very expensive. In saying this we were only still very limited to a seperate drinks list and only food at one resturant. Which is slightly dissapointing considering the amount we pay to upgrade. It may work out more cost effective for guests not to upgrade, unless you are not fussy regarding to food (and dont get bored easily) and plan on drinking a lot (with the limited drinks option). In saying this, the resort has beautiful gardens and scenary and its so worth visiting. The excursions (and tour guides) are fantastic and enable you to explore all the things the very beautiful Maldives has to offer. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 7 nights in a deluxe room. It was located in a garden area and well placed away from the main walkway so very quiet in general. It was close to the restaurant facilities. Very spacious rooms including a large bathroom with bath and separate shower.. The resort had excellent sporting facilities with everything in very good condition. The dive centre was well organised, very professional and again with all equipment in very good condition. The snorkelling on the house reef is great. There are huge numbers of fish of different varieties as well as other sea varieties, turtle, reef sharks, sting rays all there straight off the beach. We went on the Manta Ray snorkelling trip and swam with five rays. A trip most worthwhile. We stayed on a half board basis which included breakfast and lunch in the buffet restaurant. The quality of food was good with plenty of variety and catered for the many different cultures. If you don’t like to overeat then half board provides plenty of food. Drinks are expensive but unless you are a big eater and drinker, it may not be worth the extra on all inclusive. The final benefit of this island is its close location to the Male airport. Just 15 mins by speed boat. We would definitely return for a second visit.

We had rain for 3 days and unfortunately, this means that there is very little to do. Water sports are what this offers aside from a relaxed holiday. The food was a bit monotonous. One thing though - wish they would have a separate sitting for young families so that adults are not subjected to the bad parenting of toddlers. Staff are very nice, very obliging but be sure to take plenty of USD with you. Anything additional is expensive.

As a single, middle-aged lady, spending 7 nights in August at this resort my highlights were: - soft sandy coves beside warm, deep blue ocean - mature, cultivated and picturesque gardens to wander and explore - peacefulness that rests your mind and body (felt like I had been there for months and months;) - cheerful and helpful staff that are happy to chat, pass the time and send you in the right direction - cute little Art Gallery called Brush where they will paint you something from local scene if you ask - Large kidney pool amidst pristine tropical foliage - Attractive villa room with wooden floors and thatched roof and tropical patio - Ocean lookouts to view sunset and exciting weather developments, brightly colored fish feeding on the coral - Gourmet food and service in range of different style restaurants - Yummy cocktails - Good band on Saturday night - Major emphasis on environmental protection and respect for the local resources
