2/10 Poor

Never again
From the minute we walked up to Reception, we knew we had booked the wrong hotel. The Receptionist was curt, and provided no welcoming information to us. Once inside the lift, it had a dreadful smell. Our room on the 13th floor was no better, having to go out & buy air freshener & keep the balcony door open, despite the road noise. TV had spasmodic reception & the 2nd TV in bedroom had no remote so couldn't even turn it on. Only one side of adjustable bed could be used as other side wasn't plugged in & couldn't locate any power points, with bedside lights also unplugged & nowhere to go. No Guest Info Book in room, so no idea where anything was, etc. Hand held shower head was so cheap, you had to hold onto it to actually have water run over you - very hard to shower one handed. Ironing board was useless as cover just draped over frame. Reception closed at 4.00pm, though I doubt they would have wanted to assist you. Will definitely never stay here again, and would not recommend it to anyone else either

Nicole’s demeanour and service is an absolute asset to this property.. some aspects of cleanliness can be easily forgotten about when receiving friendly , prompt service especially when they are clearly busy

6/10 Good

The unit was very well equipped with washing machine & dryer and double glazed for the noise. The balcony was big but noisy.

6/10 Good

Receptionists we’re very friendly and helpful, great service. In fact they are the highlight of the stay. The apartment extremely dated and run down, requires make over or renovations. Most Curtains not opening, toilet laundry tiles coming away, carpet stained. Great access to public transport, river, shopping mall.

6/10 Good

Pros - low-cost and proximity to the Roma Street train station and CBD. The check-in staff were very friendly. Cons - the apartment I stayed in was in terrible condition (e.g. stains on carpets, sofas, blankets,, etc.). It looked like the house from the movie fight club. For that reason alone, I definitely wouldn't return to this hotel.

Excellent location, directly across the road from Roma street Station. Fully self contained and comfortable. I would stay there again.

4/10 Fair

The room was very dirty and dusty. Towels and washers were threadbare, only 3 pillows, aircon didn't work properly and aircon fan sounded like an aircraft engine.

4/10 Fair

Very close to Roma St Station, so that's a plus, but does mean very noisy (sirens, thousands of people walking past (loudly) to go to/from big games, construction noise, etc.). Very unattractive views (construction sites). Room itself very dire (one of the unrenovated rooms). Had booked again for a month later, but have now cancelled and booked elsewhere. Hotel website said they had a hot tub. Definitely no hot tub (double checked with staff). Issues with room itself: super old and run down, and not very clean. Carpet so stained that we refused to take our socks off the whole stay. Toilet ran noisily, so we had to turn off the water to it overnight, to sleep. One side of cupboard in bedroom was jammed shut (nowhere to put your bags), and iron is in there (luckily not a work trip, so nothing to iron!). Plug didn’t fit sink, so difficult to wash the dishes. Long black hairs all over bathroom floor (we don’t have black hair or long hair!). Makes me very nervous that if even basic cleaning (vacuuming) isn’t being completed between guests, that there would be no COVID measures in place. Paint peeling off walls, tiles missing, just everything damaged and old. No smart TV or even Foxtel (or equivalent). So much dust/grime on aircon vents that we weren’t game to turn the air-con/heating on. Have photos of it all, but just so bad. Spent months in caravan free-camping and low-key caravan parks, plain and simple is fine, but dirty and in ill-repair is not! Would not pay anything to stay

Birthday bash
Staying for 4 nights we wanted proximity to the Station which we had.We had been warned about the building noise but the road noise was unpleasant. The sliding doors did not slide easily, there was only one free plug in the kitchen for the 3 appliances and it was all a bit shabby. The bed was comfortable and the price was low so you get what you pay for and not much more
