How can I describe, amazing decor, welcoming and friendly staff who were very attentive without being intrusive. The hotel decor is bespoke with amazing attention to detail. Felt more like staying in a family home than a good-sized hotel in a city. The staff were very friendly displaying personality whilst professional. The breakfast was fantastic. We ate once in the brasserie and this was also delicious. This has to be the best hotel I have stayed in by far having travelled to all continents and numerous major cities.

If you want a feast for the eyes and a very different hotel then charmante is for you. Our room was very busy with stuff and not ideal for all our luggage. Unfortunately the couch needed repairing and the condition of all furniture should be checked after each customer to ensure the new ones have everything in working order. I also felt the mattress was due a replacement. In saying that the staff were great and very helpful. The property was clean. Breakfasts were ok and the food, whilst nice in the restaurant was way overpriced.it was in a great location too.

You could travel round the world without coming to such an amazing hotel as the Charmante in Bergen. The whimsical decor filling every nook and cranny of the hotel made for a magical experience. The softly playing music from belle epoque France added to the enticing mood that the hotel seeks to create. Tucked into a narrow street the hotel is close to the iconic historical sites of Bergen. A wonderful, wonderful place to appreciate and spend some heavenly time.

I've been to many many fine hotels. Charmante is #1. It was a "pinch me" experience. And somehow the staff were just as wonderful as the property! Very romantic place to stay. Charming rooms, classic, but not tacky. Modern technology used for ac/heating and background music. Spotless. Staff is attentive and polite, even when it gets busy. Free espresso and coffee station set up outside to be used anytime. À la carte breakfast was beautifully served and tasted just as it looked. We ordered from the menu every morning, never got bored. Would love to return.
