Comfy bed and pillows
Our second time to Citadines in Shinjuku. Very well set out; comfortable bed and a choice of pillows - firm and soft to make sleeping much more pleasant and likely. Very convenient, quieter neighbourhood, and yet close to the heart of Shinjuku and transport.

Great place
Wonderful hotel and good value. The room was a comfortable size, the bed was comfortable and it was clean and in great condition. It's in a nice little area a few minutes walk to Shinjuku Gyommae station and about 20mins walk to Shinjuku main station.

Very good 8.0
Hotel rooms are slightly more like an apartment type room, larger than most hotel rooms in Tokyo but still probably not a true apartment type room. Rooms were clean and in pretty good condition. Location was slightly further away from some of the main areas around which I knew it was slightly out of the way when booking but it was a decent walk back and forth everyday so something to be mindful of, however, if you aren't to phased about the distance and want a slightly bigger room than this hotel may be suitable. Overall a good experience at the hotel.

Fair 4.0
Good Room but Cost Cutting on little things
Request for soft bed not provided. All lifts are ridiculously slow and need engineering to make them run properly. Paying for 3 nights at full price per night but hotel said water provided only on the first day. How ridiculous - at a cost of 50cents for 2 bottles and a room rate of $259 per day I would think Citadines could provide water for guests daily.

Good rooms and good location.
Good hotel in a very convenient location. By Tokyo standard, the rooms are very big. The micro wave oven and kitchenette in the room is very convenient for getting take out meals and heating them. The Shinjuku Gyoen Mae location is my favourite in Tokyo, lots of small restaurants, bars etc and very convenient for transport but without the crowds of Shinjuku central. My only criticism is that I could not get the cable TV to work, only the local Japanese channels. Did not really matter as I was not there to watch TV.

Great location average hotel
Location was great but the hotel was kinda not great. Only gave us one complimentary water. Then our pillows was so flat that when we asked for extra pillows they hesitated.

An excellent option for a Tokyo stay.
We had a great stay at Citadines Shinjuku. A very warm welcome, and the apartment was fastidiously clean every day. It was a bit of a walk to the heart of Shinjuku (15 mins), but we really enjoyed strolling thru the local neighbourhood each day. The Sanjuku Gyoemae metro station is only 5 mins walk away. The apartment had everything we needed for a 4 day visit. My only feedback is the beds could have been more comfortable and less creaky.
