Overpriced Budget Style accommodation
When my husband saw a rat among the discarded whiteware and cardboard boxes piled near the carpark entrance to the hotel, I knew that I should lower my expectations. The rooms are clean enough but are in need of serious modernisation and cosmetic upgrading. The soap dispenser in the small and dated shower was empty and the towels were nearing the end of their useful life. There is free off-street parking although you need to be in quick as some parks become unuseable owing to the tightness of the space and because the car park is lower than the adjacent footpath, cars were lucky to avoid damage when a shopping trolley was thrown over the edge into the carpark, not that that is any fault of the hotel. However, for the prices charged it is reasonable to expect a better standard of facility. I've stayed in other Wellington motels which are much nicer for less money.

find some place else to stay
unfortunately we were desperate for a place to stay our other hotel over booked, we needed a place quick, after looking at a few reviews and pics that looked really good we booked a studio room with kitchen facilities and king bed, well we didn't get any of those, we had a tiny room that smelt and was so outdated, my bathroom at home was the same size of the room, no kitchenette only a bar fridge and microwave when we specifically asked when booking in we wanted a kitchen room and that was what we had booked online, the bathroom was so outdated and shoddy it took 2 hands to flush the loo! . and the bed was so lumpy and had huge " dips" in it I had a sore back all day every day for our entire stay which was 4 days. only good thing was free wi fi and parking. do not recommend staying here at all

Poor 2.0
on arrival we were unimpressed with the entrance, paint peeling off the door and needing a good sweep. The lift was shabby and old and badly stained,.the first room we were given we refused it was dark and had a smell about it.we were then taken upstairs the room was better in that it was light but simalar, shabby,.privat trees outside left us with allergys. We would have cancelled when we settled in but were very tired so stayed there making sure we went out every day.the kitchen utensils or lack of, two spoons for cereal or dessert one being a tablespoon.a jug for the microwave would have been helpful and a saucepan.the heater had one leg.W would never go there again.

Was upgraded due to double booking from king suite to 2 room family unit. Was asked to only use 1 room so they wouldnt have to clean the whole unit. Tv was in the lounge with 2 single beds main bedroom had 1 queen and 1 single. No tv. So if i wanted to watch tv which i normally do till late st night i had to use both was looking old with carpet coming off the wall vinyl needs repair or replacement and marks on the wall need painting. Maybe a tv in the master bedroom would make the room more practical. I stay here about once a month normally have no problems all other rooms have been great.
