Kongresshotel Potsdam am Templiner See

The hotel is a little bit remote and we ended up here only because all hotels in Berlin City was fully booked. The drive to Berlin was anything from 30-60 minutes depending on traffic. But once at the hotel I couldn't think of a better room and hotel in general. The rooms were awesome, very comfortable and modern. The restaurants was perfectly ok but the atmosphere is what is is at large hotels like this, a little impersonal. The staff was always very nice. Parking was easy. The fitness center was alright but they could do well with some forced aircon in there, or at least some forced ventilation of some kind. After 45 minutes you lost your breath not because of the excercise but the oxygen was out in the room! I would stay here again, for sure, but you need to add the cost of a car to get to Berlin in an easy way.

We stayed in Potsdam for 2 nights while on a week long trip to Berlin. We booked last minute so this was the only hotel left. Wouldn’t have been first choice as quite far from city centre. Room - we stayed in a premium double room. It was huge with a big bathroom. There was air conditioning which we needed as it was 30 degrees when we we there. Location - 20 min tram journey. Tram comes every 20 minutes. It is quite far from centre but this didn’t bother us huge amount as we rented bikes from the hotel and cycled everywhere. Nice location near a lake. Overall great hotel, very clean and tidy. A little far from centre but we had an enjoyable stay.

The room is 40 degrees past 23 o'clock and it is so hot that I can not sleep at night. There is neither air conditioner nor refrigerator, and it is very hot. It is not worth the price. If you rent a bicycle to go cool during the day, you need 8 euros for 4 hours, plus 20 euros for a deposit. Despite the room environment like this, I think that the hotel that charges for the amenities is not sincere.

I understand the need of a hotel like this to have conferences and parties. However when I am on the fourth floor and I can follow the performers lyrics word for word from the bed, that is just too much. This went on until after midnight. I was not impressed with the room. It feels very cramped. It will do in a pinch, but I've stayed in hotels with similar pricing that had much more space. That being said, the hotel staff was friendly, the room was clean, wifi functioned all right.

Great hotel with very nice rooms. We had a lovely two room family room. Plenty of space for the entire family. The hotel personnel is friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking spots in the hotel garage. The hotel was nice and quiet during the summer in July. The breakfast was great in every way. Plenty to choose from, and everything tasted great. Located right next to a lovely lake, and not far from the central parts of Potsdam. Central Potsdam is easily accessible on foot or by bike.
