Thumbs up for the Clarendon
Swift Check-in by friendly and polite staff. Very helpful - I took a wrong turning to get to my room and someone from reception rescued me! which showed that their security cameras worked! Room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I'm not a breakfast person so cannot comment on the breakfast(included), but i did have an evening meal which was of a high standard, the restaurant staff very knowledgeable about the menu which is a plus. Check-out just as efficient and polite. Not my first visit and won't be my last.

One bad apple ?
Generally very friendly staff except in breakfast room where an older staff member, male of possible Italian background (?) was rudely made fun of my sister when she seemed to hesitate over which table to take only because I waved to her from another table I had chosen, unbeknownst to her. Employees should never mock the customers, specially in front of other paying guests. A real pity as everyone else in the dining room was extremely friendly and super efficient.
